Our baby is 1 year old now. We had all this stuff piled in the corner, on the floor. Some of it was from the baby shower (the size 6 and 7 diapers are unopened). The baby's clothes were stuffed in our closet and got lost and hidden in our clothes. We put the shelf together quickly (2 people) this morning and this organized all the baby's stuff, nicely. Dirty laundry is on the bottom. Sheets, blankets, towels on the left and baby clothes on the right. Clean clothes are hung and pajamas, pants, underwear (socks, bibs) and activewear (swimsuit, floats, hats,) are in the bins. Top shelf stored all the overstock diapers and wipes perfectly. We just went through the clothes that were too small but there is plenty of room for the new clothes we need to pickup.

I buy a lot of shelving with this construction. It's your basic metal pole shelving setup - the poles have indentations every so often (most are one line, some are two skinny lines to help you get the right spot without having to count every single friggin time) and you snap two plastic pieces around the pole and slide it up or down until it lodges in the desired indentation. (Pay attention to the embossed print that says UP or TOP on the plastic bits). I have done so many of these, I could probably do them in my sleep. However - if you are new to this construction and are following the instructions - take a breath before you get to Step #6. I think they tried to condense the steps - and really, who wouldn't - but it really needed to be split into two separate steps. When you are assembling, just remember - you can't stack the plastic "hold-stops" on top of each other without placing a shelf on the first set, first. Does that make sense? The instructions say to put two groups of plastic hold-stops on, maybe 4" apart on the pole from each other, AND THEN try and put the shelves on. Well, no - that won't work. If it were my first one, I would have done it and been like what the heck. Knowing it wouldn't work, I am taking a picture and passing it on for anyone new to this style of assembly. Allll that being said, I love this. I recently bought a second house to be closer to my parents and not thinking, moved all of my old furniture to the new house (which I only plan on using in the summers because - Ohio. Brr.) Now that I'm back in the original house and all of the furniture is in the other house - well... I needed something but didn't want to commit to furniture yet - but would still like to put my clothes somewhere other than in the laundry basket. This was the perfect solution. It is set up into 3 sections. The section on the far left has an optional mid-rack you can use in case you are doing more shirt-sized articles of clothing. I omitted it on mine because I have more coats and long sweaters than shirts - but it's nice that the versatility is there and can be changed if something happens down the line with your priorities. It's perfect for hanging my sweatshirts, perty shirts, long sweaters and coats. The racks underneath are great to put foldable things on as well as shoes. It was fairly easy to put together. Definitely under an hour. Absolutely love it. The only reason it's getting 4 stars and not 5 is because of the oops in the instructions. If it weren't for that, it'd have 5, maybe 6 stars if it were possible.

This is a nice organizer stand for clothes or other things. It’s large and spacious and made from quality metal. I think these kinds of stands are the best stands out there that last a long time and are extremely sturdy. I have another stand made from the same material as this one with the same weight of the shelves as this one. and with those lovely clamps, I’ve had that other stand for 7 years now and still going strong with no issue ever. And I’m sure this stand will bring me the same lovely years of enjoyment that is extremely valuable compared to so many other stands out there. The other one like this one I use for my kitchen is filled up with pots and pans, bread makers, coffee pots, Crocker pots and so much more. And what’s so wonderful about this stand is that just about anyone can put this together. It is a simple basic operation of screwing the poles together, sliding the shelfs over the poles and putting in the clamps. Shelf units like this one are strong and I mean strongly made with heavy metal and thick bars. I’ve seen these same types of clamps on dog cages, but of smaller size This clever mechanism is extremely strong. The instructions are easy to follow, but what’s great about this unit is that you can customize these shelves to your preferences. I can have two separate units with shelves and add as many shelves as I prefer. I can also have each shelf at the height of my preferences. I don’t have to add the bars for hanging unless I want them. Pay attention to the shelves they are marked to let you know which side is the top. I would also pay attention to the clamps they are also marked to let you know how to position them and slide them into the slots. The poles are all the same size so I would pay attention to the lettering that is clearly labeled. But they made this unit even simpler by leaving the caps on some of the poles, so you know that those poles are either the bottom or top and everything else is in between. The clamps go into the slot smoothly with just a gentle push and twisting. With the cleverness of this unit, I become organized in a fashion that most closets can’t offer. I can have one unit with two rods for my long shirts and blouses. The middle unit by lowering the shelf with the rod gives enough room for my dresses and still has a top shelf and a bottom shelf. The third unit I can raise the rod all the way to the top and have space enough for my jackets and light long coats and still have a few shelves beneath it. The rods for hanging your clothes are all made of thick metal and strong. It is also a simple basic operation of inserting the hooks onto the shelves and screwing the rods into the hooks. It comes with four rods for hanging so I have plenty of rods to be well organized. I also think this stand would make an excellent plant stand for those that have a lot of plants, you can hang your plants on the rods, put some of the plants on these large shelves and have those lovely vines beautifully wrapped around the poles and all you need is a string of led lights. It’s also fantastic for all those that love tools and equipment to hang all those bigger tools like saw, hammer, etc., and still have plenty of space on the shelves for toolboxes, etc. Another advantage of metal organizers is that they are far cleaner than any other material out there. They are less absorbent in dust and far easier to clean, they don’t retain odors and stains, which makes them far healthier in a closed environment. I also like to add that some of the caps can be removed so you can have extra shelves.

This is a very sizable, very spacious combo hanging/shelving storage rack. There are four hanging rods, one of which can accommodate full-length articles like dresses, etc. The other three could be slightly taller, but I'm probably biased because I am 6' and most of my clothes are XL and/or longs. There will be a trade off with some of the shelves as they are below the hanging racks, but with eight shelves, you'll likely be fine. Assembly is typical for this type of wire rack and can be put together in probably 35-40 minutes if you tried. It's large, both in footprint and height, but it holds a ton. In terms of sturdiness and quality - no issues at all. This unit will last a long time.
