Plastic are garbage. This is nice decent wood. Traditional and heavy. They should include non-slip cushions for the legs. I had to get some for the table so it does not slide on hardwood floor. Hard for kids to work otherwise.

The table was really easy to put together, but OMG the chairs were a NIGHTMARE!!! Some of the holes were misaligned, one of the chairs had a peg stuck in an area that a screw was suppose to go so I had to hammer it out. I think the so called ‘directions’ made everything even worse. They need to label each piece better, step by step and what side goes up and down. To be honest I think I screwed in a few pieces upside down, but by the 2nd chair I was so over it I didn’t care lol. I know I’m not the handiest person, but this was a bigger headache then it needed to be. I gave 4 stars because it’s a nice sturdy table that seems like it will last. Ours arrived in good shape, so we didn’t have any issues with that as others mentioned. Next time I’ll just buy a pre assembled set though. ... show more

I don't normally write product reviews, but because of how impressed I was I thought it was worth noting. One of the things I was impressed by the most was the packaging. I absolutely despise opening the box of a build-it-yourself piece of furniture just to have to spend more time hunting those pesky styrofoam bits that break off than actually assembling the furniture. But to my surprise and great pleasure, this product had done something I've never seen before, they plastic wrapped and sealed each individual styrofoam piece!! After pulling out everything from the box, there wasn't a single piece of dust, dirt, or styrofoam that I had to clean up. The product itself meets my expectations. It seems to be good quality, very good wood finish. The chairs have a sticker stating they are rated for 150 pounds, but my fat butt at 250 pounds can still sit down and color with my daughter and the chair still seems strong and sturdy. The instructions are easy to ready and very simple and easy to follow. The hardware is very well organized and labelled as well. If I had to do it all over again I would 100% purchase this product again. ... show more

I bought this for my two year old nephew and he just loves it! It was easy to put together and it's very sturdy. My 300lb brother sits on these little chairs and they hold up just fine.

One of the pieces to a chair was missing a hole that was suppose to be drilled in it. Therefore, we could not put that chair together. It was a very specific type hole, not one we can just drill in to fix it. So we have a table with one chair, and 2 boys who want to sit at the table. We bought this for our 2 year old and she has loved it from the moment I started to assemble it. It came well packaged. All the parts were present and accounted for. I put it together in about 1 1/2 hours (with my toddler at my side, which slowed things down for sure). I used an electric screwdriver so if you’ve got it, use it. Our little one is 36.5” and she sits comfortably in the chair with her feet not quite flat on the floor. I’m 114lbs and I’ve sat in the chair a number of times and I feel that it is very sturdy. There is a nice coating on the wood to protect it. There’s no chemical smell at all. So far water and milk spills clean up easily and colored pencil, washable markers and lead pencil markings have wiped off without a problem. I opted for this brand over the more expensive choices mostly thinking if it gets destroyed I won’t be as bothered but this set seems like it can take a beating and holdup just fine. We purchased this table chair set for a toddler. Overall it is in acceptable condition but the minor issues combined led us to not give it a great review. The finish looked like poor quality and had inconsistent application. It was only on the top layer and not covering the entire furniture piece.
