Good to have available to disinfect cuts and scrapes. Been using 10% Povidone for decades. If you have a garden, work ouside, or have animals, it comes in handy as a topical antiseptic, It is used to kill bacteria, fungi, and viruses on the skin to prevent infection. Always do a patch test to determine if you are sensitive or allergic to iodine.

This povidone iodine solution is a great addition to any home first aid kit. It works well for cleaning minor cuts, scrapes, and wounds, helping provide extra protection against infection. I had to use iodine in a foot soak that was suggested by my podiatrist, after a small surgery. I went to my local drugstore and the cost for a much smaller bottle was twice what this giant bottle cost! Thankfully, this Amazon Basics version is much more affordable and the quantity is much larger than the drugstore version. The iodine worked well, and I have plenty left over for the next time that I need it.

Resolved recurring issues, once and for all!

Our household has some athletes foot, for years. Started using this in tandem with grapeseed oil shampoo on those feet. No more issues, finally! Clumsy Diabetic in the house too that gets all banged up, often. This iodine takes care of every wound, without a doubt. Lastly, had some recurring external lady issues from riding a bike with a leather seat all summer long. Seat was replaced with breathable mesh, but needed to clear up what had established itself. Washing with this iodine took care of the issue! If you’ve got a skin situation that won’t resolve, try this! Yes it can stain, so we use it only in bathroom with the water running, to clean up drips immediately!
