I’m not entirely sure what I was expecting when I bought these sheets, but I know I wasn’t expecting much. My kids were in need of some new sheets and prefer cotton material, but I was pretty skeptical since I personally prefer Lyocell Bamboo for my own bedding. These weren’t for me however, so I figured why not give them a try. After all, they’re kids! They probably won’t be that picky, right? I bought the “Smoke Blue” and “Light Grey” sets and immediately notice the odor as soon as I opened the packaging. They definitely stunk and I was a little apprehensive about giving them to the kids; but I went ahead and washed them anyways and hoped for the best. Thankfully they came out of the dryer odor-free, no shrinkage, and completely stain-free upon my first detailed inspection after washing. The deep pockets were adequate enough for their 14” tall pillowtop mattresses and once washed, they are quite soft. The sheets are a bit thicker than some of their other sheets but they aren’t heavy; they have a really nice crispness to them. The colors are pretty accurate as well. I included photos of both colors in artificial light (top) and natural light (bottom). As for my kids: they LOVE these sheets. Even for a skeptic like me, I think these are the best cotton sheets I’ve ever bought in this price range. I still prefer my Bamboo sheets over anything else, but these would be my top pick if I had to use cotton in the future. One things for certain though: these will be the only cotton sheets I buy my kids from now on. ... show more

    • Nice after washing away the smell.
These sheets are a good value, love them. Comfortable with a firm but soft feel. I really dislike the feel of the microfiber sheets available everywhere. I do agree with previous reviews that they smell terrible when the package is opened . Another buyer said they smelled like vomit. Yes they did! I threw them in the washer and the smell is gone! I didn’t like the smell, but would always wash anything I purchased before using . This would be a terrible option for a gift. I threw them in the drier and left for two days , pleasantly surprised that they were only a little wrinkled when I returned . I would purchase again. Too bad the seller does not fix the awful smell problem. ... show more

I don't like slippery sheets like silk or microfiber. I've always preferred simple, crisp cotton sheets and these fit the bill. I have a 12 inch memory foam mattress and the fitted sheet easily fits it as well.

I purchased two king size sheet sets, used them each once and gave them to Goodwill. The quality was fair the fit was too loose. I thought that these were the same type of sheets I had purchased from Amazon in the past but they were not. I purchase two new sets of Pinzon by Amazon, and they are perfect. I just finished washing and drying this set of sheets, and I think I lost half a pillow case to the dryer's lint catcher. There was so much lint, I had to stop the dryer 3 times to clean out the lint trap. It was such a mess--I had to clean my washer, dryer, and walls just to remove all of it. I haven't slept on them yet and they appear to be soft, but if this is any indication of what will happen in the future, I don't see them lasting more than a few months. I am basing my rating on the mess just washing them made, and I'm hoping they work out. I also bought a king size set in lighter blue with the same results--piles of lint. ... show more

I bought this sheet set mainly because it was a cotton/polyester blend. I think that there should have been more polyester and less cotton, because initially it was like sleeping between 2 pieces of velcro and because it is certainly not wrinkle-free. As I have washed it, it has given up more and more of its cotton (in lint) and may eventually allow me to turn over at night more easily. I don't yet have any idea of its durability, but judging from the thickness I expect it to last forever. Those who have extra large mattresses should be happy with the size of these sheets-- with an old mattress like mine I have to be careful that neither side of the top sheet hangs down to the floor. Regardless of the pros and cons, the price for a king size sheet set can not be beat. ... show more

Bought these for my son's bed at college, twin XL. Had purchased a set of sheets somewhere else that just didn't even feel right and they didn't fit. Was very happy with the sheets, they fit his bed perfectly and he says they are comfortable to sleep on.
