I purchased this box based on other favorable reviews, but it's NOT as advertised! The box itself is nice and clear, but the part that stands up at the back is not clear. If you put a note or sign inside this, the effect is that you're reading the words through foggy glass. Useless!! Bought these for the kids piggy banks... so they will stop stealing each other's money... so far they work great... the boys(5&3) love being able to see all there change

Depending on where the box is used will depend on the security of the box. I used it with my youth Sunday school group and they are 9 and under to do mock elections and it worked fine. So with them, I wasn't concerned that someone would try to beak into it or just break it at all. However, I wouldn't feel comfortable using it for dropping money in it. I could probably break it myself if I tried hard enough. It's well made, sits level and sturdy. I still like it and like previous stated, it all depends on your use. It is easy to open and close. The keys worked fine. The acrylic is clear and not foggy. It's large enough to hold a lot of ballots (which was our use) and it's also small enough to store without much space. All in all, I do like the box ... show more

I had a hard time figuring out whether or not the upper sign holder was removable. Here’s the answer: Yes. In fact, it arrives in a box with the plastic sign holder sleeve detached.
