These are very nice curtains. They are soft chenille, they add a light texture to the room/decor which adds a fresh but cozy feel. The rings at the top are well secured and will hold up for a long time. The reason why I took away one star is because they are described as semi-blackout. I think light filtering is a better description. Semi black-out makes me think mostly dark but as you can see from my photos they let quite a bit of light in, and this was when the sun was already on the opposite side of my house. These are great curtains, they just shouldn’t have blackout anywhere in the name ... show more

I picked up these Amazon Basics chenille curtains for my living room because I wanted more privacy without turning the space into a cave. They arrived exactly as shown, no defects, no loose stitches, and the panels came packaged simply (not fancy branded, but honestly, that’s pretty common for curtains). The fabric is light and soft and has a really nice drape that adds a subtle shine when the light hits it just right. I love the vintage-inspired look, and they fit well with my room’s vibe. Just a heads-up: the “semi blackout” part in the title is a bit generous, these don’t darken the room much (probably not even 50%) but do give a good level of privacy, which was actually my main goal anyway. Care-wise, they’re machine washable (warm wash, low tumble dry), but chenille needs a bit of gentle TLC if you want to keep it looking fresh over time. Also, fair warning, chenille isn’t the best if you have pets or kids who might stain or scratch it easily. Overall, these curtains check my boxes: soft, classy-looking, and perfect for privacy without sacrificing light. If you’re after full blackout, you might want to look elsewhere, but for everyday living spaces, these work great. ... show more
