These boxes are an excellent value. Medium size is perfect. The box holds alot and heavy items like books are no issue. These boxes can handle it. As for taping the bottom of the box but I just folded it and it holds perfectly. No worries about the bottom falling out. If you need boxes you can't go wrong with these. They are boxes. Just like you’d expect them to be. Not the weird thin papered ones from “over there”. These are good quality like you’d expect to buy at a place that sells good strong boxes. I will admit that I was a bit disappointed they didn’t come in a box. Ya know, so I’d kinda get a free box with my boxes. They were shrink wrapped pretty well and not damaged when they arrived.
