    • Works with SODA media, requires add on parts to work
The media could not be loaded. I bought this to use with Baking Soda for blasting a piece of aluminum. Of course, you have to provide your own quick connect male adapter and Teflon thread tape to use it. My 2.5 CFPM compressor could blast media for a short amount of time before I had to pause to let it recover, and eventually overheated, even on a small part, so the 10 CFPM recommendation is correct. The hole/cap for adding media is a bit small, expect to provide a funnel or spill media when adding. The media container on top only holds a pound at a time, even for my small part I had to refill it. Overall, it does what it is supposed to (blast media), and the price/size is right for use on a small part in a hobbyist situation, but it's not a professional system. ... show more

    • Heed the air-flow recommendations
yeah I tried to use this with my small airbrush compressor / tank and it usably jets out glass beads for about 1/2 second and then the pressure drops and they beads just spray out ineffectively (and bounce ALL OVER THE PLACE). It probably works ok if you have a stiff enough air-supply but a little compressor wont cut it. ... show more

This doesn't hold a lot of sand but we can etch glass and clean auto parts easily without a huge contraption.

This is not a out of the box load and go soda blaster. It disperses way to much material which leads to constant refilling. More of a pain than convience. It's all plastic threads so be careful not to crossthread tips. I thought I could modify a 20 dollar unit into something useful. Maybe with a more concentrated effort and time it could be achieved. ... show more
