Includes eight Amazon Basics 5-Blade MotionSphere razor refill cartridges. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Prepare: Wash your face with warm water to remove dirt and oils. Apply a pre-shave oil (optional). 2. Lather: Apply shaving cream or gel to your face using a brush or directly with your hands. 3. Shave: Use a razor to shave in the direction of hair growth, using short and light strokes, rinsing the razor frequently. For a closer shave, you can reapply shaving cream/gel and shave against the grain (opposite direction of hair growth). However, be cautious as this may increase the risk of skin irritation or ingrown hairs. 4. Soothe: Rinse your face, pat dry, and apply an aftershave lotion or balm to moisturize and soothe the skin. 5. Store: Shake off excess water after use and store your razor in a clean, dry place.

Though Amazon doesn't explain this and customer service had no idea, these five-blade cartridges can be used with the handle sold with just Amazon Basics three-blade cartridges. The gold standard for cartridge razors is Gillette and I use their Fusion Five. But these Amazon Basics with five blades are cheaper. Not so cheap they don't work or cause nicks, however. They're comfortable enough and shave cleanly. The difference between these and my Gillettes is noticeable, but not dramatic. I shave every day and had been shaving my head, too, three times a week for the past five years. (Recently, am growing my hair out again.) As anyone who shaves their head can attest, that's a heavy duty task and a bad razor will dull soon and start drawing blood. With these Amazons, each cartridge was good for about a month (both face and head). Now that I'm only shaving my face, I'm getting much better mileage. Yours may vary. One quibble: loading a new cartridge is usually easy, but occasionally it doesn't snap in there without playing with it for a while. Maybe it's just me being clumsy. Not always an issue anyway. I love these razors. I thought because they were less expensive that the quality would suffer. Not so! these are great razors. They are extremely durable. In fact they last longer than some store-bought razors I’ve used. They’re very comfortable on your skin. They don’t leave any kind of razor burn or rash after you shave. They don’t get all clogged up with shaving cream and hair. They’re very easy to rinse under the faucet while you’re shaving and have a clean razor on every stroke.     • the razors are fine but the packaging makes it really challenging
I don't see a lot of people mentioning this, am I the only one to experience it ? and is there something wrong with me ? The idea of inserting the razor handle into the individual cartridges and yanking out each is good in theory, but the cartridges are jammed so tightly into the container that I always fear I'll break the handle and / or the cartridges. I finally resorted to using kitchen scissors to try + cut open the plastic container to access the cartridges more easily, but pieces of the plastic went flying all over and some pieces were quite sharp + could easily hurt a family member or myself .... if there is a secret to pulling these cartridges out, please share your secret ... maybe I just got a 'dud' package but I vaguely remember struggling with this same thing last time I purchased these, although I am not certain. so, .... razors = 4 stars .... packaging = 2 stars .... average = 3 stars ... show more
