Bought this brush head for cleaning and maintenance of an older deck, so for this application the very stiff bristles are OK. That unyielding stiffness digs dirt and mold out of wood grain surfaces. Another good use of the stiffness would be textured pavers or concrete driveways/walkways. Width is about right. A wider head would have made it hard to bear down as needed. Much too stiff for, say, fiberglass boat maintenance, gutter exteriors, any smooth painted surface. The threaded connection for a painter's pole is unnecessarily shallow, asking the forces on pole and brush together to work with too-little thread-power distribution. The composite through which the hole for the pole is bored is thinner at this spot and is countersunk in a half-inch deep well that is too narrow for the shoulder of my painter's pole. at the base of its threaded top connector. The pole/handle connector is cut all the way through the composite material so a longer connector can thread through and below the bristle bases, which offers good flexibility matching brush unit to pole. I am glad this is not a wood brush head as wood pole/handle threads would deteriorate way too quickly with the usual and common handling of these kinds of brushes. ... show more

    • Great for Gutters
I recently had covers installed over my rain gutters, as was looking for a way to brush away any accumulated debris. Anyway, I got this brush head and screwed onto a telescoping handle ... but upside-down! This downward facing broom now works great on my gutters!!
