I've been shying away from these floating shelves for a long time now as they seem so intimidating, I guess I just could never figure out the technology behind them. But they are actually quite simple once you get them out of the box. Basically there is a metal bar that you screw into the wall and on the bar are two metal poles. There are two holes in the shelf for the poles and you just slide the shelf onto the poles once the bar is attached to the wall. Easy peasy. There is also a small hole on the underside of the shelf where you can add a screw to secure the pole to the shelf. So really the hardest part of installing these shelves was deciding where I wanted to put them. Much less intimidating than I had originally thought. They are really quite attractive too and would go with a variety of design styles. The dark finish I chose is matte so could a little rustic and the style could be considered contemporary while also fitting with MCM. It's not a solid piece and the sides have a wood veneer attached but they are all finished and presentable regardless of where they are hung. You could hang them vertically or next to one another for nice long shelf, in my case above a long low buffet table that I use for a coffee area so they extra long shelf is perfect there. The price seems very reasonable too, which is why I jumped on these shelves. Shelving can be super expensive and often out of reach. So it's great to see actual wood shelving that is functional, attractive, and at such an accecisible price point.

These are well built, real wood shelves. The cuts are clean and the surface finish is great. Sanded and smooth enough that there is no chance of getting splinters from these. I got the natural brown color and it brings out the nice natural color of the wood. Matches well with other natural finish furnishing in the house. Install is easy and everything is included. Even a template to make mounting the brackets much easier. The brackets alone are solid and well built. Hardware included is also of good quality. Overall, very happy with these shelves and happy to recommend them.

I got this set of shelves to install above my white kitchen counter, I wanted something with a fairly neutral and plain design. [+] Love that they are 24" long, better than most standard 16" shelves as it gives me some extra storage space. [+] The metal bracket is VERY sturdy, they are advertised to hold up to 10kg per shelf, honestly if you anchor those in a stud, they could probably handle more than that, but 10kg is more than what most people will be able to store on this narrow shelf anyway. I feel absolutely confident storing my glass jars on top of these shelves, I know they won't risk falling off. [+] The brackets are designed to conceal within the shelf, so no visible anchors to hold the shelves for a seamless design! [+] the shelves came properly packaged without any damage to the corners (which was my main concern knowing how roughly packages are handled during shipping). [+] The listed price is VERY affordable for a set of 2 shelves of this quality. A couple of minor observations: [-] like with other similar products, the "screw-in" drywall plastic anchors provided in the package are not the greatest quality and almost impossible to screw into the wall without breaking (even after drilling a proper size hole first). I still managed to use them and complete the installation without issue, but you may want to get your own/better drywall anchors if you don't want to deal with these. [+] The shelves have 2 small holes on the bottom to secure them with 2 black screws once positioned onto the bracket. Since the shelves are installed slightly above eye level in my case, those black screws are quite visible. I wish white screws or some way to conceal the black screws was provided in the package (it wasn't), I'll have to find something on my own. Overall I'm super happy and do recommend this product.

I'm not sure if my walls just don't play well with these anchors or if they just suck. The drywall anchors didn't have the classic cut that most anchors I've used in the past have. When I tried to put a screw into the anchor in the wall, it just started spinning and stripped out the hole in the drywall. Initiate drywall patching ritual... I tested the drywall anchors and I twisted the top off with a pair of pliers while running the screw in the other end and the screw still didn't push the anchor open. I ended up just using a stud and 3 of the concrete anchors to get everything working but it feels less than ideal. I wasn't trying to spend another $10 on drywall anchors at the local hardware store.

I attached 3 of the 4 shelves that came in this purchase in about 20 minutes. I usually have a little trouble with hanging iems on the wall that don't have a hanger or has more than one screw hole....but this is so easy!! Pre drilled holes and a template with 2 supports rods for each shelf! The only tools that I used was a cordless drill and a level that's placed on the template so that they aren't uneven. The white shelves are thick but very lightweight and are deep enough to hold quite a few items. I hung mine in the bathroom and uncluttered my counters. The hanging rods are sturdy and fit into the pre drilled holes so the shelves definitely won't fall. The costs and quality are excellent...they're very pretty and I absolutely recommend!

These were smaller than I expected, but match the listed dimensions (my mind just made some overestimations based on them I guess!). That being said, they look great, feel sturdy and of good quality wood, and go up very easily with the included hardware. I'm very happy with these shelves!
