I love these shoes so much I already ordered another pair. I have a variety of pathetic foot problems and have custom orthotics. I usually wear a size 8 EE which is not easy to find. We are currently on extended travel and I have 4 different brands of walking shoes, 3 of which I ordered on this trip. Gave up on Asics 8 wide (too narrow), Skechers Men's 6.5 x-wide (too narrow and rigid), Brooks Ariel 20 (not cushiony enough) and finally discovered this Altra brand. WOW-- despite the regular width, what matters for me is simply having a wide toe box, and this brand definitely delivers. I love how my foot feels cushioned, supported, and overall comfortable with plenty of toe room. I took the advice of comments on this site as well as a chat on the Altra site that recommended an 8.5 in this shoe-- works perfectly.

I can run around in these all day and my feet won't hurt at the end of the day. Lots of cushion and support and room for your toes. I have different styles of Altras for hiking, gym and everyday. I have 2 pair of these...one for everyday wear and one for the gym. Highly recommend.

These shoes are super cushioned and perfect for the treadmill. No knee pain! Now the look....well. They are not stylish but I am not going for stylish. I am going for comfort and no pain. Maybe in a different color they wouldn't look so bulky and funny but I don't care. I use them at home on the treadmill and for Hitt workouts. If I was using them on a trail...I would go with a darker color. I own many Altras and these by far are the most cushioned and best on my knees. 4 out of 5 stars but just based on the color I chose (white/pink). 5 stars if style wasnt a factor.

I was looking for a shoe with a wide, natural shaped toe box. These shoes have a great toe box! But the cushioning isn't what it claims to be. Felt very firm. And the arch support seemed to hit in a really odd spot. So unfortunately I had to return them. Ended up getting Topo, and it seems to be a much better shoe.

I was looking for a shoe with a wider toe box and something that lets my feet spread out naturally when I walk. I first bought these when I was having a bad gout flare up in both of my feet. I love the feel and bought a pair for my wife and my mom as well. I also have a history of running ultra marathons in the past and know a lot of runners who swear by Altras. I definitely recommend and will be a repeat customer.

These run a little short in my regular size. Half size up was perfect. Nice, wide toebox. Zero drop, no arch support. Heel was a little loose, but heel lock lacing fixed the problem. Love the extra lacing holes over the midfoot to relieve tightness on high volume feet. Excellent support for broken toe.
