I love my Altra sneakers so when I needed hiking boots I ordered these. I like them but warn you that they run a bit small. I ordered the same size as the sneakers I have, but these are a bit tighter. I recommend going up half a size.

I bought these for a backpacking trip and they worked great! They are waterproof, the toe box is comfortably larger and it hugs the midfoot to keep the foot stable. The biggest con is that the back of the shoe hits right above the achilles but not close to mid calf (it’s an awkward area) and it pushes on that area and it is not comfortable. There is also a part of parts at the top that rub but I think it’s probably because I didn’t break them in. But the back part I think is the biggest con. Love everything else

Bought these boots for snow hiking in Colorado and the waterproof seal broke on mile 2. Wet feet/socks the entire trip. The boot feels great and needed no break-in period. Would be a nice shoe if all you used it for was dry hiking (but why would you buy the all-weather boot if you were only going to hike in dry weather???).
