These shoes feel so good once I can get them on. They feel better than my slippers.they are much more comfortable than my Hoka’s that I bought for my planters fasciitis, and they were fine, but what I like most is the roomy toe box. They feel like they mold to my feet. They are a struggle to get on if you have a high instep, but once on they hold my heel without slipping. They have short shoe strings but if you like don’t like to tie bows and keep your shoe strings tucked inside, it is a feature.

I did a lot of research before ordering the Escalante 3’s. I’ve ran in Altras for a few years now and have been very happy overall. I began with the Torin 4.5’s, and they served me well, but the midsoles didn’t hold up very long. I switched to the Superior 5’s (light trail shoe) and fell in love!! Fast forward to now, I was looking for a low stack height, zero drop, road shoe that could handle long runs without being too much. I received these bad boys today and immediately put them on. I’ve been walking in them all day and they feel wonderful! I can’t wait to take them for a run! I’ll try to update this review after a couple months with any updates.

Thinner sole, not a ton of cushion. I was sitting on my knees and the toe box on the left foot has permanently dented in. It’s quite annoying as I walk. I love the look but that dent is a real bummer.

Disappointed with this shoe. If you have a high instep - stay away from this shoe. It is also very stiff- I would never run or even cross-train in this shoe. I read the reviews and they were kind of mixed- thought I'd give them a try and - nope I returned them!

I have boney narrow feet. I wore these today doing a fair difficult trail walk and the comfort and ease as well as stability was profound. I had been wearing one of their other shoes for the last 3 or so years but this one has got it beat. Buy it!
