These shoes are comfortable over all. The stacked heel is a little much, made the shoe look more boxy. The tongue on the shoe is ridiculously large and tall. Since I wear no shoe socks, I will probably be returning the shoes due to the oversized tongue. I think these shoes will work better for taller socks, where the tongue wonโt rub. Although, the tongue is pretty soft, compared the the rough one on the All Weather Lone Peak shoes.

I read all your reviews (Thank y'all!!) and decided to give these a try. These hiking shoes are exactly what I was looking for. I usually wear proper LOWA boots for my hikes. But traveling overseas soon, I wanted a lighter shoe with similar tread and comfort, and waterproof. I ordered the same size as I wear in the Altra Solstice xt2 and they fit perfectly in length and width. My left heel feels like it might slip out in the back, but I was able to fix the issue by changing the way I tie the lace. I wore these shoes in the recent rain/snow showers and they kept my feet dry. I hope the soles hold up during my upcoming hike in the Alps.

My normal shoe size is 7 1/2W, so I ordered these original footprint shoes in size 8 and they fit very nicely. The treads are nice and grippy for our ND winters. The only negative is they are not very cushy for the ball of my foot/toes. The sole tapers dramatically there.

Beautiful and well made shoe. The sole has very good grip with thick cushioning. The Gore-tex would definitely make these water proof. Unfortunately, the Gore-tex outer shell is making them so stiff that it hurts my feet. If I don't walk - they are perfect, great toe width for my touchy feet. But will have to return them because as soon as I walk even a few steps, much less the length of my house - they rub and put pressure on my toe area. Heel is a little loose but thick winter socks would help that issue. I am sad because I wanted waterproof footwear for winter dog walks. Will have to settle for the Lone Peak All Weather which is just water resistant NOT waterproof.

Love the altra brand i usually wear a size 8 in the Torin but I had to go up to 8.5 in these. They are comfy and have a lot of grip and are completely waterproof. The color is a nice dark gray/black and the accent color is purple.

The reviews are important. These shoes run small. they are super heavy, the laces do not stay tied and are too short. The heel slips and they are super stacked. All of this I read in the review but thought I'd try them anyway. I went with Topos and they are awesome.
