I absolutely love the book but I must admit I’m a magazine-a-holic. I love the magazine in my hand and going over and over the recipes and I love them so much that they pile up in tiers. The book made peace with my husband and I. If I could, I would live in the world of books and magazines “to protect me.” But the cookbook is splendid and I’m getting another for my to be daughter-in-law. All recipe speaks for itself! I've made quite a few recipes in this cookbook and have loved each one. They've all used ingredients that are basic. I've tweaked a few to our preferred taste, like the guacamole recipe. The blueberry muffin recipe is truly the best I've had. I'm trying about a recipe a week and haven't found a bad one yet. ... show more

Filled with great comfort food recipes. I’ve tried several with great results and am so happy to find basic recipes with most ingredients I keep in my pantry. I appreciate recipes without ingredients (like spices) that I have to purchase but will not likely use again. This is not low calorie cooking so have tweaked a few recipes to cut some sugar and fat.
