These jeans are the cropped wide leg style and fit nicely on my pear-shaped 5’3” frame. I ordered a size 8 and I think I could have gone down to a 6. For reference I am 140 LB and usually wear a 6/8. I would say if you are between sizes, size down. The material is very stretchy. I also like the wash and think they are a good thickness. They are not see through or distressed in any way. Inconsistencies with the product: I ordered a size up because the 8 was too tight in the waist. The products were different! I am 5’1”, so cropped/ankle fits like a regular length. The sz8 was the perfect length and not the wash as pictured in the description. It was more black. The sz10 was shorter, more of a black/grey wash.. the length was awkward for me. It also had a brown “leather” tag at the waist, which the smaller size did not have! Pros: great stretch, comfortable I would want the wash and length of the 8, but I’m hesitant to reorder a 10 and get highwaters again ! ... show more

I like the fit of these jeans, but they are not the same color as in the photos. They are MUCH LIGHTER, almost like acid washed. I’ll definitely return them.
