What I liked was it had a rubber surface for the board to sit on which also kept it from slipping. Not much to not like, the wood was finished well and looks great with the board.

Make sure you can go into a stud. There is only one screw to anchor it to the wall. They look good but will spin on the wall sometimes

I selected this item because of two reasons: 1. It requires one wall anchor per hanger. 2. Doesn’t have a company logo visible on it. In reading all the negative reviews, I figured I would just roll the dice, how bad could it be? Actually pretty bad. I will have to engineer a couple of countersunk fasteners from the back to keep the install looking clean. There’s not much material to work with, since they designed these surfboard hangers with a slot completely through the base. I wouldn’t trust any amount of glue to hold, it needs something stronger. I also noticed that the rubber material isn’t completely adhered to the surfboard hangars. For $20 I shouldn’t have to redesign the way the whole system stays together, and re-adhere the rubber non-skid to the horizontal hangars. Pretty disappointed, but when I’m done I’ll give myself 5 stars for making the whole mess better than what arrived on my doorstep. Next set I buy will be the competition’s version that comes with screws, through the back, to support the surfboard. Oh, and the drywall anchors are garbage, good thing I have those on hand already. ... show more
