Reading other reviews I have to say I was worried about two things when I placed my order. I was worried that my pockets wouldn't be secure and my handles would need reinforced. I can say without a doubt I did not experience any of these problems. The pockets are very secure, the velcro is strong and placed strategically to hold my stuff. The biggest pocket has nice durable zipper allowing me to place amino in it without worrying about some falling out. The stitching on the handles is excellent! Really looks like it will last till the ends of time. If needed be in 50 years, if the padding holds up, probably just restitch the handle (if it is having problems). There are two ways to carry this case,handle and strap The strap has excellent padding that can slide up and down to be put on your shoulder (does not move on it's own) and can be adjusted in length to wear comfortably for people 5 ft - 7 ft. The handle has some grip padding so that you don't accidentally drop it and it is just easier to carry. The padding makes me think of yellow padding people used to add to mattresses. It's all smooth padding though, no ridges. Padding is thick yet soft. Plenty of room in the case for my riffle with the scope, several inches of extra room actually. Great case overall, very happy with my purchase.

I wish I could have kept it, I bought it and had to return it, it would not accommodate my set up, but I would recommend it made very heavy-duty.

Initial inspection and fit is good, was having a hard time finding a soft carry case to fit this rifle. It's a Remington 700-P , 24 in barrel with a 6-24X50mm scope, bipod and muzzle brake. Overall 45.5 in length and about 8.5 in high and 3.5 in wide at the bipod. I will say the fit is snug, but not tight. There is a bit more room in the length, but the top scope turret just about makes the height and the zipper gets snug around the bipod. Quality of the case is very sturdy, but time and usage will tell. Only negative is the carry handle is a bit to far back for my rifle setup. The heavy barrel, bipod and muzzle brake make carrying it 'front heavy' and the muzzle end tips awkwardly down. It does carry OK with the shoulder harness. Side note this was a replacement for the first one I ordered that had about 3 inches of the inner liner separated from the seam (sewing defect). Amazon sent out this replacement immediately. Received the new one in 2 days UPS took the old one back. Easy return transaction..

This case is made exceptionally well right down the last stitch. The padding is placed vzapproximately where your scope and the barrel will be provided with plenty of protection. Everything is going to be extremely well protected, thanks Amazon! Now to the yucky straps that you have attached to this wonderful product, here's the photo so you can see for yourself.

This holds my Savage 10 FCP-K in .223 Remington with a Harris 6-9" Bipod and Vortex 6-24 x 50 on it. My rifle has an extended stock, and the rifle still easily fits within the case with scope and bipod attached. I like the shoulder strap and large pockets on the exterior. Maybe it's just the center of gravity for my particular rifle, but the carrying handles of the case don't quite provide a 50/50 weight distribution and the case tips toward the ground. No biggie though. I purchased this for moving the rifle between setups on ground squirrel shoots. It works great, protecting the rifle and freeing up my hands to carry other items.

After looking at many rifle cases costing twice as much I settled on the Tejon. I was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived. It has enough storage for a large rifle with a good sized scope. It also has both large and small pockets for gear. I actually got two boxes of 30-30 ammo in the one large pocket! My rifle has a 24 inch barrel and it fits with inches to spare. It's well padded and that's a good thing because the rifle it protects is a rare octagon barrel lever action. One thing to note is that the 48 inch measurement is for the INSIDE of the case. Outside dimensions are about 52 inches, making it a large case.
