As soon as the 8.5 Came I tried them both on and quickly decided the 8 1/2 was much more comfortable. I must say though I have a wide foot so if you have a narrow foot you might be fine in your true size. I sized up so that’s what I recommend. I buy a fair amount of designer so I didn't have high expectations for a $60 pair of boots but the heel-height-to-platform ratio seemed like I'd be able to walk in them so I pulled the trigger. They were on prime with free returns so why not. I ordered 1/2 size larger, in case I wanted to wear them with thicker socks in the winter. I am shocked at how good the fit is and how comfortable they are. I spent 6 hours in them last night and did not need to break them in. They are a loose-er fit on my legs, and slouch a bit (which I'm into) so if you're looking for skin tight stay up thigh-high boots these might not do it for you. These are so freaking CUTE! I have a pair very similar in black and really wanted a brown pair too. I’m 5’8” 125lbs size8 shoe and these boots just go over my knee. I love how “tight” they feel on my calf and I know they can comfortably be over hose, jeans, or even scrubs (as pictured 😂). I love wearing heels & I’m very comfortable in them. I think these are very comfortable. I could wear them for hours. The 4 star rating is ONLY because I would not consider these thigh high but knee high. ... show more

I. Love. These. Boots! I originally ordered an 8.5 since that's what I normally wear in boots or heels, an 8 in flat shoes. They also arrived super quick, a few days before they said they would. My fam naturally has slightly larger calfs but these fit so nicely! For reference, I'm 5'5 and around 170 pounds. The 8.5 fit pretty good, sat perfectly above my knee, and doesn't slide down past my knee. Just the foot was a little snug so I def recommend going up either a half or full size. I bought these boots for my Valentine’s Day dinner outfit and they were perfect!. I have never been a fan of knee high boots but I love these! I paired them with a high waisted pink wool skirt and a black turtleneck. I love the material and the chunky heel. I liked the look a lot but they were too small and short. My foot was getting squished hard and I’m a normal width 6.5-7 US size. I’m 5’5 and 125lbs. They reached the middle of my kneecap instead of going over the knee. Definitely size up at least a half size, or a whole size if you have a wider foot.
