First OLED product, let alone QD-OLED, that I've ever owned, and it is a very solid experience! I upgraded from a 144 Hz 3440x1440 VA monitor that was starting to experience aggressive burn-in on the edge of the panel. With the AW3425DW model: the extremely smooth motion clarity from the 240 Hz refresh rate and instant response time, paired with rich vibrant color contrast, deep black levels, and semi-gloss screen are truly a game-changing experience that has probably ruined LED panels for me going forward. Also, the box-to-desk setup was about 5 minutes to unbox, attach the stand to the monitor, adjust to my viewing angles, plug in and turn on. There are adjustable RGB lights on the power button and back of the monitor, which is also a cool touch. One thing I did struggle with was HDR calibration on PC. Initially, while the colors themselves were great after calibrating, I was disappointed to see the midrange grey/monotone scenes (not too light, not too dark) have such an aggressive amount of pixel dimming that made otherwise brighter objects (think certain light sources and HUD elements) very dull to look at. I generally operate in a darker environment with the brightest light source coming from my setup, so the dull brightness was even more noticeable. I did update the monitor firmware to the latest version (available on the Dell website for this model), which made the HDR Peak 1000 Bright option available. Using this option on the monitor did reduce the dimming, but only partially. The DisplayHDR True Black option improved the dimming and black levels further, albeit only slightly and with the tradeoff of slightly reducing the vibrancy of the colors. However, for those who own an Nvidia GPU, a workaround to this pixel dimming issue that helped me a ton was to forego HDR entirely and use SDR (to unlock the brightness and contrast control on the monitor) and enable RTX Dynamic Vibrance in the Nvidia app (to achieve color vibrancy that appears to trade blows with HDR). This gave me a clean, clear, crisp, and vibrant image without sacrificing brightness or experiencing the aggressive pixel dimming or loss in deep black levels that HDR brings on this model. Couple these adjustments with GSync, DLSS/DLAA (for titles where performance is not hit too hard and frame rates are 120+ FPS at base) and Frame Generation (if necessary) to take advantage of the 240 Hz: it has literally transformed the immersion i feel with the games I play daily. I heard reports of text fringing on this monitor prior to purchase. However, after calibrating: it is not nearly as noticeable or impactful to me as some others made this out to be in my opinion. I'd consider this to be a subjective topic, though my experience could be different to whomever is reading this review. I plan to game and work on this monitor, and doing either seems as clear as ever to me as someone experiencing QD-OLED for the first time. I have not yet had the monitor long enough to observe burn-in, but there is a pixel refresh mode built into the monitor that I run before shutting down for the day. I also have rotating wallpapers and no static elements present to potentially contribute to it. I'll revisit this in the future. Overall: VERY solid first choice 1440p UW OLED purchase and upgrade to my setup with barely any downsides (that haven't been addressed or remedied) at a very respectable price for the experience it provides -- I'll hold onto this monitor for as long as I can!

The picture quality is amazing. The lights and darks look like real life. Graphics look astonishing with 5080 Nvidia graphics card. The monitor curves a little bit but not overwhelming. Also, the hole on the stand is useful for running wires through it to keep a more organized look. The size is the "sweet spot". I was considering a monster 57 inch monitor but switched to this for less power draw it's quite a bit easier on the 5080 graphics card. Anyways, great monitor at a great price really high quality. If you want something that looks like real life I'd recommend this (I'm pairing it with Nvidia 5080, I have both an apple laptop and a PC and wow the gaming pc with the 5080 looks real nice on this monitor, haven't tried the apple m4 laptop with it).

I bought this Alienware 34-inch curved gaming monitor as a gift for my boyfriend, who is a pretty serious gamer, and it completely exceeded both of our expectations. I upgraded from a 31.5" 165hz ASUS Tuff 1440p VA panel monitor, decided I'd use the ASUS monitors as my side displays... The OLED is nice and obviously noticeable, especially in certain scenes like media when going on Netflix or Amazon or w/e, it does register as 10-bit in my Nvidia control panel, is 240hz, is amazing for gaming for sure.. I try to turn it off whenever I'm not at my computer, which isn't often because of apparent possibility of "burn in", but I havent noticed any burn in. I wish I played more games because the immersive UW is cool, but for coding and such, I think I prefer just to have more displays rather than trying to split screen on a single monitor. Screen refresh is barely noticeable, I only notice it when I'm coding and it's not irritating in any way, infact, I almost wish it was a little more intrusive to really refresh all pixels more and preserve the monitors life longer. Ive seen some people complain about the glossy screen that gets marks on it easily, but tbh I think that's one of the cooler features of this monitor, it's visible at all angles and when it's off is shines and looks real sharp. I noticed my ASUS monitor isn't anywhere near as good at viewing the images at a different angle. It comes with a micro-fiber cloth which does erase any smudges 100% also. However, I do have mixed feelings. I was originally looking for 4k OLED, which are a couple hundred bucks more but for a cheaper brand, and they don't come in ultra wide. I can't say for certain if I woulda liked the 4k monitor more or this one... I'm a poor guy, so $700 on a monitor is a lot. Do I have any second thoughts? Well.. I've thought about it, and decided it was worth the money and I'm not going to return it to see if I like the 4k monitors more. Also having the Alienware brand as my main monitor does feel like a kind of flex. I just hope I start playing more games and really let this bad boy shine for it's use purpose. I did hear 4k makes text look a lot clearer, which might be better for coding but I can't say. After watching 1000 youtube videos, it did seem like most consensus was 1440p is the God Mode for monitors so.. Idk.

The Alienware 34” QD-OLED is an amazing ultrawide monitor, especially for gaming. The picture quality is the standout—deep blacks, bright colors, and great contrast make everything look incredible. It’s also super smooth with a 165Hz refresh rate and fast response time. The ultrawide screen adds a lot of immersion and works well for multitasking. The only downsides are lower brightness in bright rooms, slight text clarity issues, and the usual OLED burn-in risk. Overall, it’s a top-tier monitor if you want great visuals and performance, especially for gaming and movies.

OLED Alienware. Great crispy 4k monitor. This is worth the step up from the LCD version. The Alien lights up on the back. The screen looks much better. I had the LCD version for 250 dollars recently and it came with a dead pixel so I stepped up and bought this one for 500 dollars more. Glad I did. Should last for a few years of everyday use.

This is my first ever review on Amazon and the reason for that is I feel the need to let other people after me know the experience I went through. While the monitor itself is amazing and works as it is advertised technologically, the condition of it is not. While I’m not saying the monitor itself was used, it most definitely is not new. Right upon delivery was the first red flag. The flaps of the box were loose, and every corner of the box was damaged in some way which is sad considering it was shipped inside of an Amazon box and was cushioned with paper. Secondly, before I turned the monitor on for the first time I went over the screen with a flashlight to check for any of the defects that other reviewers had mentioned. While I knew there were some potential problems, I didn’t heed their advice and bought this anyways thinking it would be different for me and since I’m here right now giving it the rating I am, you already know I was not so lucky. Upon not even so close inspection, there are at least a dozen what look to be holes or gaps in the screen/panel. Third and finally, in the top right corner of the screen, a decent chunk of it is warped and blue as if it had been pushed in or pinched. While these defect in the screen are not immediately apparent while the screen is on and you are using it, it should not be getting sold as new. While I would be okay with something like this if I bought it used for cheaper, you should not be getting a product in this condition from ANY company like this let alone a big name one like Dell/Alienware for full price as brand new. Also, the microfiber cloth they give you with the monitor absolutely sucks. It leaves more marks on the screen than it takes off.
