I purchased the ALEXCRAFT 33 Feet 2MM Silver Plated Bronze Cable Chain Roll for making necklaces. It arrived in a zip top plastic bag and then was shrink wrapped, which I liked because the chain was on the spool and didn't get all twisted together during shipping. The plastic spool is flat rather than tall, so it makes it easy to take the chain off without the spool tipping over and I like that it is on a spool instead of a piece of cardboard. It came with matching jump rings and lobster clasps, which was really beneficial, since I didn't have jump rings that would of worked. The chain has very small, delicate links. And I really like the color of silver, it is nice and bright, not that yellowish silver color that you sometimes get. The links are a little smaller than I was anticipating, I don't work on metric measurements :-( I figured it was never going to work for what I wanted, but it worked perfectly for the delicate pendant that I made. The whole item turned out exceptionally well! Since the links are small it is a little challenging to get the jump rings on, but I just used my cheaters. The link is also really thin, so you need to make sure the jump ring is closed tight. The silver-plating seems consistent, I haven't noticed any sections where it hasn't been plated. The links are consistently sized and shaped. I think it is a good value for the money, since you get 33 feet, it is a way better price than I can find at the craft stores. I like to buy chain in longer sections so I can make whatever length that I need for my projects, I didn't have any trouble cutting it to the right size. The chain would probably be best for using on small projects like a small pendant or little dangles from an earring, since it is so tiny and delicate. So far it seems to be working out and I would purchase this chain again.

I've purchased this item before with no problem, but in this new order the jump rings were tarnished when received. In the photo below, the bottom jump rings were ordered last year. The top jump rings, and those in the bag, that are tarnished are my newest order. Also, the listing showed 33'. The product label shows 30'.

Honestly I can’t believe this is from Amazon. Never felt more happy with a product. I make my own jewelry, and don’t like taking it off, so I wanted something I could leave on while showering, swimming, etc. without tarnishing. Well, this is it!! The white gold color is absolutely beautiful, and sparkles in the light. No tarnishing on the chain whatsoever. It looks beautiful in the light as well. I did notice a bit of tarnishing on the jump rings and clasps, but I don’t mind much as you can’t really see it, but just something to keep in mind! It is so beautiful, easy to use and untangle, and a great amount for the price!

I've put this chain through some of the most rigorous testing over the course of several months and despite having been neglected and abused and worn in the shower, while exercising, in the pool, while being slept in every single night, while being tugged on and handled near constant, this chain is still, literally, just as bright and shiny and is in just as good condition as the day I received it in that mail. No skin discoloration, no tarnish, no rust or corrosion, no fading or loss of color and luster, and not a single link has bent or lost its shape and the chain itself has not snapped or broken even once. I run a small, professional jewelry business and quality is one of my founding vows, and this chain - its simply genuine quality. I will be buying more, and moving forward this will probably be the only chain that I will use. Thank you, Alexcraft, because quality is surprisingly hard to come by.

I make jewelry and it is so hard to find a good quality chain that doesn't tarnish after a few wears but this chain is fantastic! I liked it so much, I bought their gold version too. The gold version also doesn't tarnish. I wish they had a few more chain style options and sizes. I'd likely try them all just because I know it would be worth the investment. Highly recommended!
