I was inspired to find a new robe when I saw the description of one recommended by the NYT. At three times the price of this one, it was too big an expense, so I bought and tried on half a dozen robes from Amazon. There were several nice options from Alexander Del Rossa, but this was my favorite. It’s thick, plush, and warm, yet doesn’t make me feel sweaty. It’s large, yet lightweight. And it’s LONG. Finally! A long robe for women that doesn’t stop just below the knee! Granted, I did buy the largest size they have to get a little more length, but at 5’9”, this is down to my ankles and meets the top of my slipper booties. The gray is gorgeous, the sleeves are long, the pockets are a nice size. I want to live in this robe! Best purchase I’ve made all year.

It’s a miracle to find a robe that doesn’t shed. But this one is it! It’s soft, comfortable and warm without being bulky. The one thing they could change is the ribbon tie inside. Something that might last longer. But I would still buy the robe. I have spent a lot of money on expensive robes that shed everywhere. This is a quality robe. You won’t be disappointed. I love the long length. For reference, I’m 5’ 3” and it sits about 2” above my ankle bone.

My young son, who is four years old, has taken this robe from me and is using it as a blanket, and I have only had it for three days. Now he would like one of his own. This robe is exceptionally comfortable and warm. I purchased it when it was on sale, so it offers excellent value for the money. The length reaches my ankles, which is ideal. I am 5'5" and 122 pounds, and I ordered a size Small. The softness is precisely what I was seeking. It is as soft as my plush blanket. I reside in Florida, and it is perfect for the chilly weather here, without being heavy at all. The pockets are deep. It has proven to be very durable so far. I believe you will not be disappointed.

I am upgrading my review from one star to 4 stars. I ended up keeping 2 of the 4 robes I ordered. They washed up very nicely. I did not experience any lint at all. They did not shed at all and there was no bad stitching. Although I was disappointed that these aren't as thick as the ones I previously ordered, there are some plusses to these robes. With the thicker robes, one robe would barely fit in my large capacity washing machine. With the new thinner robes I just ordered I can get 2 of them in the same wash load. They are very soft and warm. Not really such a disappointment unless you thought you would be getting the same thicker robe that you previously ordered. The colors are beautiful. I am taking off one star because I think these newer, thinner robes should not be sold as if they are the same as the previous thicker robes. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Such a disappointment. These are nothing like the ones I previously ordered. I ordered a smaller size since I lost weight. I also ordered 3 more for gifts. They are thin and nothing like the previous ones. I didn't even pull them out of the tube packing since I would never be able to repack them. I am returning them. I wish I knew where I could order the same ones I got before.

Okay so I am a total robe person and I’ve owned many over the years and this is one of my favorites so far. The material is SO soft and the quality overall is really good. Also the length is amazing! It literally goes to the top of my feet and something about that just feels so cozy. Definitely recommend buying this robe.

I'm not going to lie, I bought this more as a house robe that I can lounge around in than a bath robe, and it is PERFECT. The robe is so soft, and it keeps me super warm during this cold autumn weather. I can step outside and have a cup of coffee in the chilly weather and be completely fine. The sleeves are a perfect length of not too long, but not too short either. Girls, it has POCKETS! And they're deep pockets! I put my phone in it and it fits it perfectly! I can't comment on the absorbency or anything bath/water related, but this functions as the perfect lounge robe!
