Amazing cable management read this for sizing help!

TL:DR: The 3/4 size one fits: 2 monitor power cables 2 DP cables 4 USB cables 2 aux cables With the aux and USB cables mentioned one of each is from my Logitech speakers and the other is from my Logitech gaming headphones. 2 of the USB cables are braided, with one of them being an ‘aviator style’ USB for my keyboard. I think I could probably fit 1 more USB but it’d be tight. If you have one more DP/HDMI cable (3 instead of 2) you’d probably fit 2 USB cables less. As quick reference though 1 monitor: 1/2” cord, 2 monitors: 3/4” cord and 3 monitors: 1” cord and so on, since the power and DP/HDMI cables will use the most room. Actual review: This thing is awesome! There that’s all I have to say about this thing in a nutshell. I’ve been using Velcro ‘tape’ for years for cable management but it’s always been a pain when I have to redo anything since I go pretty hardcore on the ‘management’ part of it. After one of my DP cables died and I was face to face with the annoying task of redoing my whole cable management for a single cable I decided to give this thing a try. Installation is super easy, if you can do cable management with zip ties/velcro this will be a breeze, if you HATE doing cable management you will LOVE the ease of this thing and never go back to the other way (the cavemen way) all you do is bundle your cables, grab said bundle and stick them inside this sleeve, and done. You can either pre measure the length of your cables (a soft measuring tape helps with that) or just stick the cables at one end put the whole thing in until you get to the other end (with me it was where they stick out of my desk), pull out the cables a little, cut with scissors to mark where you want the cut at, cut and then burn off the loose strands with a lighter, then out everything back in and you’re done. And it looks so clean when you’re done it’s insane how much better it looks compared to the zip tie/velcro method.

What surprised me, though, is the fact that each cord needed their own. It was barely wide enough for one cord. Beware if you want to put multiple cords together, you’ll need thicker.

Finally, My Cables Have Pants

You MUST..... Melt ends with lighter or match to prevent fraying.

I like this better than the plastic ones because they are: 1. a bit easier to install, 2. definately softer on your hands 3. If you only have a couple cords this will roll up a bit for smaller footprint, and you can add more cords later with ease. 4. Good quality if you melt the ends after cutting to prevent fraying. FRAYING : Check for video reviews of the type wraps. I found one that demonstrated how to melt the ends BEFORE choosing a size and vendor and making my order. I emphasize this because the leftover piece I had was fraying just from being moved around with nothing in it. Some reviews complain how quickly they fall apart. Yes they will if not melted. It is a loose open weave fabric. I think perhaps they did not read enough, or research product enough. SIZE : Others complain of size but they come in a variety of sizes. I ordered 1/2 " and I have 3 phone cords in mine. There is plenty of room which just rolls up with about a double overlap. The length does not tangle up due to size and weight of the bundle. VISIBILTY : My cords are far more visible with this product which when stretched across the room helps me to avoid tripping ! ( think poor eyesight ) Hope this helps. 😊
