I purchased this beautiful dress for my daughters wedding. I really liked how it fit although it was a little bigger in the shoulder/chest area than expected ( I’m a 34DD so that’s not often the case!) The material was stretchy so it was form fitting but not tight at all. ( I’m a solid 10 on the bottom & an 8/10 on top ) I loved the color which fell between rose gold and taupe &was really nice with my skin tone. I debated the entire 7 days allotted by prime wardrobe before deciding to return it. The sequins were itchy where my arms met the dress when I had them down. I decided it would likely be uncomfortable after a few hours of wear. Also The fabric of the dress caught on itself a few times when I was trying it on and I worried it might snag my car seat or the furniture at the wedding venue. I really was torn as I liked how it looked on, it was comfortable on and the color was gorgeous! ( I did end up purchasing another Alex evening gown in a lace fabric: no sequins!) ... show more

I purchased this dress for my nephew’s January wedding and received so many compliments. The wedding colors were rose gold and/or copper. I couldn’t find copper anywhere on Amazon that would’ve been appropriate, but I did find this rose gold gem! The dress has a rose gold fabric base with a glitter and sequined flower patterned overlay. The fabric is a good quality for the pricepoint. As a side note, the glitter did shed quite a bit in the car. It hits slightly below the knees. The overlay fabric didn’t irritate my underarms as mentioned by other posters. I ordered a size 14 with my measurements at 40-34-43 @ 190lbs. I was able dance the evening away with no issues while celebrating my nephew and his new wife! I chose this dress for my daughter's wedding because I needed something in the rose-gold family of colors. As soon as I tried it on I knew it was the ONE. It's is comfortable and fit me perfectly. Despite being 5'5" tall, I ordered this in 10 petite and the length was perfect. Other Alex Evenings size 10 dresses were just a tad long on me (just past the knee) so they were a little frumpier.
