This is a beautiful, well fitted dress. I’m 5’2” so it fit a bit lower than mid calf, but not ankle length. If you have larger upper arms it may be a bit snug, but not uncomfortably so. The fabric is heavy and moves well. The overall fit is flattering on a plus size. I purchased it in an 18W and it fit very well. I had to return it because the bride wanted the wedding party in formal length gowns. You will probably be able to find it for less in other online stores, but Amazon’s free delivery and free returns may be the deciding factor. The bodice is not over the top with the decorations and just give an overall classy look for semi formal occasions.

I bought this dress to wear to my daughter’s wedding. (which 7 months away but I didn’t want to wait until the last minute.). I bought around 15 dresses on Amazon before I found this one. I ordered suze 24 in taupe.. This dress was very comfortable and well made. It felt light, but didn't seem thin. It did not show any undergarments. Where the sleeves ended made my wrists & hands look even wider and (for me & my body shape) the front hung lower than the back. Ultimately, I returned it, because I found one I like better, but it was a nice dress.
