I'm 5' 0" tall, between 145-155 lbs and 38 B. I bought Alex Evenings Women's Long Cold Shoulder Dress, Mother of The Bride dress in 14 petites. DUSTY BLUE GLITTER. This dress is lovely. The fabric is stretchy & forgiving. I also noticed it didn't wrinkle all that much. For the price, I think it is going to be used for more than just this wedding, say a cruise or fancy dinner, The dress is NOT WASHABLE. I wore this to my son's wedding. There were several things I felt were a must for the dress I wore. It needed to cover the dreaded underarm chunk. It needed to be lightweight so I wouldn't get overheated dancing and conceal sweat from said dancing. I wanted it gathered on the side since that style goes a long way in making me look thinner. Also a huge help to lessen the look of bloating. Wedding food can do that. I like a simple elegant, understated style and that can be a tricky search all on its own. I eyed this for months but the glitter held me back. But I couldn't find anything when I went shopping. Nothing came closer to what I wanted. So I ordered it with a lot of unknowns. I don't know how heavy it was, how the sleeves would lay or if it would be comfortable. I couldn't believe it, it nailed every picky requirement. Not only was it light weight, it also was stretchy and super comfy! I never imagined I wouldn't have to settle. It was everything I hoped it'd be! I danced like all night while being nice and cool. I had so many compliments. I hope for another event I can wear it to. I may be like Miss Havisham and wear it everyday. Then when I'm old be buried in it. Just kidding. It is made of thin jersey like material, which may have been fine except the beaded applique shown on all the pictures was removed and replaced with a cheap rhinestone pin that hung on the dress. At first I was concerned about the amount of glitter that was falling off this dress, but that settled down and it fit perfectly! The dress was comfortable and flattering for my plus size body all night! And I was thrilled that it is machine washable for the next evening event!
