Alex Evening's size 16 Petite fits me, but dresses are rarely available in that size. When available, they often cost more than the same style in a regular size. My measurements are 46-40-46, 5'3". I tried this style 16 Petite. I think it needs to be taken in at the shoulders or something. I don't like that you can see my bra in the right armhole, probably because I'm holding my arm out to take the selfies. Fabric is mid- to heavy-weight and comfortable. Dress is fully lined. The sequined, corded, and embroidered pattern seems designed to hide body "imperfections" and to minimize chafing under the arms. I can't write about durability because I just got it, but it seems very well-made. Ice sage color matches picture. The "shawl" is just a big rectangle 18" x 70" of chiffon--no beading, bit nicely finished with a loop for hanging. It also has a large manufacturer's label near one end that would need to be removed with care to avoid damaging the fabric. It is a lovely mother of the bride or groom gown!

I bought this for my son’s wedding. What a beautiful dress. Runs true to size. Unfortunately the top part of the dress that isn’t lined was too itchy for me so I had to return it.

As with all Alex Evenings dresses, this was very nicely made. Sequins and glitz, perfect for a mother of the bride/groom. It is form fitting however, and was very snug in the belly and hips. if you're curvy in the right places, this is a great dress, however this highlights all my problem areas, so had to return.

I ordered the dress in the Wedgewood color. Both the name and the photo on Amazon would lead you to believe the dress is blue. It is NOT. It is a beautiful deep plum or purple color. Lovely, but not what I wanted.

I’m in awwe of this dress when I opened the package. It’s stunning detailed appliqué & the sequins are not too bright. Alex Evenings has choices for petite sizes & love that about the brand. No need to do any alterations. This dress found me! It chose me! Haha! 16 P, 180-185lbs, 5’2” perfect fit & length. Thank you Alex Evenings! My husband said I look so beautiful when I tried it on. I can’t wait to wear it on a black tie wedding in October.

Amazon "What did you use this product for?" is terrible English. Try - "How did you use this product?" Ok about this beautiful sleeveless evening gown with shawl (for the record, it isn't a shawl, but more of an oblong nylon or polyester scarf - perfect for the gown) - for perspective, I am a 55 y/o woman, 5'3", 134 lbs. My dress size is typically about an 8 in misses or a 10 petite. After reading reviews, I ordered the 10 petite. It was too big all over, but especially in the bust. I exchanged it for an 8 petite, and it was perfect! It fit my figure well while still being comfortable. This dress was for my wedding. I ordered the champaign color - it has a little bit of blush to it too, which was okay with me. I received a lot of compliments and exchanging sizes was easy. Very happy with this purchase.
