  • Good value.

Exactly what I wanted. Nice piano sound. Works well with my sustain pedal.

  • So nice!
Style: Recital Play Keyboard only
What a nice organ! 88 keys, very sturdy, great for learning! Sound quality is great, loud enough and jacks for MIDI and headphones a PLUS!

  • Does not have authentic piano sound
Style: Recital Play Keyboard only
I have never been so disappointed in something than this Alsis Recital Play Keyboard. I have the Recital with 5 voices but wanted to get something with more sound options. Out of the box the the volume knob is broken. The other HUGE issue with this for me is the piano voice. The Recital I currently own has a piano voice that sounds exactly like a true piano. However, on this Recital Play out of 400+ voices not one of them sounds like a authentic piano. Each voice has a "digital/electronic" sound especially in the upper and lower registers. Furthermore there is not a listing of each sound out of the 480. How is that possible? What a waste of time and money I will never buy another Alesis product. Obviously I will be returning this peice of junk. ... show more

  • Exceptionally Brilliant
Style: Recital Play Keyboard only
Not too shabby for a beginner keyboard. Just recently started to learn as I used to only practice guitar. It's been fun learning a new instrument. I recommend for those looking for a affordable way to learn.

  • Great started keyboard for most people
Style: Recital Play Keyboard only
The star off is for something common to keyboards and that’s the loud clack of plastic keys. It’s distracting to the ear when trying to make music. But, if you’re like me, you’re new to playing and just need to get some basics down and this does that job phenomenally. I’ve had it for a month and have gone from not being able to play anything or read music to playing simple versions of about anything I want because this keyboard is a lot of fun to play. Being an 88 key, it’s a large keyboard. But it’s slim and sleek looking. It fits easily into a few different spots in my home. The quality is surprisingly high for this price range. It doesn’t feel like a toy. It feels like you’re sitting down to make something beautiful and you do. I haven’t really explored all the functions as I’m focused on playing piano, but I have messed with a few like the split feature and the rhythm feature and had a blast improvising with both! If you’re just getting started, the Alesis Recital Play is the way to go. Once you’re established a bit, you can upgrade. At that point you will have learned some of the upgrades you may want in a keyboard. ... show more

Style: Recital Play Keyboard only
Works well as a midi controller... I wish it was USB powered, however... Needs to be plugged into the wall or needs batteries for power...

  • Nice choice for the price.
Style: Recital Play Keyboard only
Very much like this keyboard! Keys are pressure sensitive so volume is proportional to pressure. They're not weighted, but feel and play well. I added a sustain pedal and have used earphones - both work well. For the price, this is a nice choice.
