- Both front and back with top quality veneers, Grade A1, the best grade available for a clear finish. Wood comes unfinished. Please note that Knotty Alder, Rustic Hickory, Knotty Pine and Aromatic Cedar by definition have knots so they are not Grade A1 but absolutely beautiful.
- Size is 12x19 inches, perfect for use in the Glowforge. 1/8th inch thickness MDF core with both sides having natural wood veneers. This allows for a beautiful finish.
- We can provide Glowforge cut settings. All tested on a Glowforge Basic. Because of the MDF core rather than plywood layers, this provides consistent density, without voids and spaces and perfect for CNC and laser cutting and engraving with Glowforge, Mophorn, Epilog, Orion, Mira
- Available species in 1/8 inch include the following: Walnut, Cherry, Maple, Red Oak, White Oak, Knotty Pine, Clear Alder, Knotty Alder Birch, Sapele, Mahogany, and Bamboo, Aromatic Cedar, Ash, Rustic Hickory. For Birch, one side is natural birch and one side is white birch. So one darker than the other allowing for more versatility in each board to choose the desired color.

update: I'm updating my review to 5 stars. This material is thicker than described, I measure 3.5 mm, but the quality is excellent. The extra 0.5mm makes it stronger, and the bamboo veneer is really smooth and beautiful. be advised, if you are expecting 3mm thickness as stated in the description that's not what you'll get. The bamboo sheets are 3.5mm thick. Designed will have to be modified to accommodate this.

Excellent quality Veneered MDF! Very nice grain, very little sanding required. The panels take stain and dye and finish very well. Laser cutting and engraving results are predictable. Bundles are banded for shipping and arrive flat with little warpage. I just wish I could easily get some larger panels, and of course, the cost of this specialty Veneered MDF is high.

Supplies for the GF are pricey (especially if you are looking for "certified" stuff). CraftCloset provides compatible material at a great price (order direct and save). They have outstanding customer service and a wide selection. The wood veneers are nicely finished and look fantastic with just a touch of clear varnish or stain. If there is one "con" - the veneer is thin, so be very careful if doing any sanding.

Ignore the glowforge owners complaining, this material is great. There is a learning curve to laser cutting, and that includes how to protect and/or clean burn residue near the engraving area and cut edges. I have an OMTech 60w laser cutter with upgraded ventilation and this is way better than 1/8 baltic birch for text. It's also very flat, a common challenge with baltic birch.

Thank you for the extra sheet. That was very much appreciated. Unfortunately, there was a slight warp in each board so it made it a little difficult to use in my glowforge. This bow may have occurred during shipping and I understand that. I will be glad to try your product again in hopes that the pieces will be straighter. It was very nice looking and otherwise good quality.

The media could not be loaded. I lined a closet in my log home with these cedar boards. It was chalanging coping around logs with these boards but the outcome is great and I love the overall look and aroma. This did get more expensive than planned and required three different orders over coarse of the project. In the meantime, the quality per box went from 10/box to 6/box for same price ($70 per box) with my last order being slightly thinner and doublesided rather than singlesided but it was more aromatic. I didn't mind the minor differences because it was for a closet and wasn't really noticeable. I still gave 5 stars even though orders were not exactly the same thickness and cost more because overall I am very pleased having a cedar lined closet. Recommendations for anyone. 1) Be sure to order more than you need and if doing a tricky project like mine (coping around logs), that you at least double the possible waste. 2) plan on spendimg a lot more than you think will be needed. My cost was nearly $1,000 between the three orders for the boards. My budget was $700 but I needed more product to complete the project. 3) complete your project timely without delays as the longer it takes to complete, the odds go up for not beimg able to get the exact same project for the same price. I love it but with the increased cost I incurred over the time of my project, I would not be able to justify doing this again for another closet.

1/4” no good for laser cutting. I bought this to use in my Glowforge but the material will not cut all the way through. At higher settings you can cut but by then the material burns a lot on top. Also the wood material would chip off around the edges of what I engraved. I will say the material looks beautiful and very flat. It’s a shame this thickness won’t cut well with laser.
