I have tried many natural body lotions before stumbling on this brand, all were lacking in some manner; either the ingredients, price, quantity or packaging. This is a good basic body lotion. The smell is not very strong, but that's fine with me. It's got a good consistency, not too liquidy and not too pasty. A little goes a long way so I imagine it will last me a long time. I like to use this all over my body, including my face after a shower and it leaves your skin soft without being sticky and feeling like you are covering in oil. For the price, the quantity you get is great. My husband and I share the same bottle and since the smell is not overbearingly vanilla-like, he likes it too. The pump mechanism is strong and it is packaged well for shipping.. I have bought other products from different companies before and the pump was damaged during shipping. Alaffia takes great care with their packing to ensure that didn't happen. I also noticed that they sell their products at my local Sprouts, not sure if there is a price difference. Overall, I would recommend this lotion. It's free from harmful chemicals, good quantity, reasonable price comes in a sturdy bottle.

Unfortunately I can’t return as I bought this ahead of time and missed the window by a month. I tried to give it time but this lotion is awful. It is super watery- that’s fine but I’d expect to be more like shea butter (thick and nourishing). It takes forever to rub in which I’ve only experienced with sunscreen. But sunscreen at least is moisturizing! This almost seems to dry me out more? I’m not a super dry person but about 2 hours after using this my body is tight and itchy with a greyish cast from dead skin. I thought I was getting a good deal, and I love the good work the company claims to do, but this product is horrible. I’ve let a few people with other skin types try it and they hated it. I have no idea who this is for. I thought maybe it was a return from another customer that filled it with something else- but it was wrapped, so I’d have to think this lotion is just not authentic to its ingredient list. Maybe it’s 95% water 5% shea.

This is comfortable lotion that isn't heavy or greasy and doesn't stink like synthetic chemicals. It's still cheap-thin and needs more shea butter in the mix.

I have had it for three months. I did not give any review earlier was because the product presents differently than any other lotion that I used. I bought unscented one, and the product felt heavy and smelt a bit smoky. After using it for 3 months all over my body other than neck and face, I realized this is a very healthy product. It moisturizes really well and lasts for a long time, leaving skin protected, breathable ( no matter how much I accidentally applied on) & not oily. I also use a lot on my feet starting several days ago, and it made my feet's skin soft moist and smooth the same day. I really really love it.

This lotion is amazing for dry skin. Especially in the winter, but even in the summer, dry skin can be a problem. The shea butter in this lotion soaks in fast and really heals. And no scent! It's great--love it. Thank you.
