  • Love This Desk and Great Service!!
This desk is by no means a $600 desk - but it is the perfect desk for our family. Working from the dining room table for almost a year during this pandemic... yeah... painful. This was made worse for me as I had a standup desk at my office that I can no longer work from. After searching all over the internet we found this one. Its size fits perfectly in the corner we have available and the design offers a LOT of help for wiring. My picture shows the wiring ALMOST complete - still working on a few things. The standard cheapo power strip actually fits within the uprights (which I still need to do on this one) and the bigger grey Belkin ones will fit inside the crossbeams. Zip-tie everything in and you are good to go. Assembling it was trivial (our 5yr old helped me). There are a few gotchas to watch out for, however: - Make sure to know what side you want the mouse portion on - directions are for a lefty. (I swapped it to a righty) - Be careful on the upper tier - this is spun around on the instructions which puts the ?pencil/cord? tray in the back and the curved edges are toward the front of the desk. (I spun this around as well) - Make sure you tightly screw in the desk height screws - we didn't have any issues here, just make sure you tighten the screws well to make sure the height stays where you want. - Depending on what you put on the top (weight-wise) and how high you are going with it, the tops have a tendency to spread a quarter of an inch or so from the bottom to the top. Since I zip-tied everything and was already going to use them to create a cable channel between the uprights on both sides, this was not an issue for me and the zip-ties do not get in the way for raising and lowering the tops. If you aren't going to be cabling it as such, you might want to keep an eye on this as you make the desk taller. - If you notice ANY issues, email the support folks in the instructions. They are hands-down the best post-purchase support folks I believe I have ever dealt with. The wheels are nice but we don't move it around (debated on not installing them, but wanted the extra height they offer). All in all, love this desk. If you need a standup/convertible desk, this is a good choice. We are looking to get another one for our son as well. :) ... show more

  • Works

Works as described but could be a little more sturdier with adjustment mechanisms had kids push down on the top and bent the table retightened the screws but it's still holding good.

  • Perfect for what we needed
Intro: We bought this for a relatively small area but for a sizable desktop computer. Size: The computer tower measures 18" deep x 8" wide x 19" tall and it fits with room to spare on the lower shelf - front of tower facing towards the R side of the desk. I put the power strip behind the tower and it fits comfortably. The monitor is 25" and fits, again with room to spare, on the top rear shelf. Gaming keyboard and gaming mouse fit great on the front shelving. Additionally, an external optical drive, a SSD external storage, wifi amplifier, DSLR camera, and notebooks all fit on the top shelf with the monitor so there is plenty of room for our purposes. Ease of use: The adjustable heights is perfect to allow for transition from sitting to standing. The wheels make it easy to move around as necessary and each wheel has a brake to lock it in from rolling. Like the adjustable tilt for the keyboard and mouse - they can be adjusted separately. We were a bit concerned about it tipping a little too readily before it arrived, once it was assembled it was clear the shelf only tips and holds as you willingly adjust it. Assembly: Fool-proof! Took maybe 25-30 minutes to assemble with a helper. It was very easy and straightforward. It came with the screwdriver and wrench needed to assemble although I ended up mainly using my own wrench because it is thicker. There were two spare screws which was perfect because one of the screws was stripped when we got it. Other notes: Easy to clean material. The bottom shelf was the last thing we attached, it was slightly off - meaning the whole thing was not fully square until we attached the bottom shelf. No big deal. If you have ever changed a tire you know to go in a star pattern, same logic here. Get each corner started, then tighten diagonally, and then tighten all corners. It pulled it nice and square and have not had any issues; the desk has been in the studio for about a week now. Will update if anything changes. ... show more

  • The front and back of the desk can shift side to side and misalign
I find that the front portions and rear portion of the desk can shift side to side, this is despite the fact that the legs are physically connected front and back on each of the legs, and even with the H shaped cross beam that connects them. I think if it was higher up it would be more stable. I will attempt to make it more stable by putting to Zip Ties around the two tops of the beams (one each side, one set for the Left Front and Rear, one set for the Right Front and Rear) and then pull the zip ties very tight. I will do this just below the vertical adjustment knobs of the Front and Rear portions. This should cause them to have to remain in tight alignment such that the front and back can no longer independently move side to side. Hopefully it won't bow the frame, or make raising or lowering it any more difficult. But I would rather have a stable desk that is hard to adjust, then a less stable one that is more adjustable. And I intentionally lowered both portions to the lowest setting they could be at exactly the same height and only intend to tilt the keyboard portion of the desk. ... show more
