I have been using this with my 6 month-old grandson, and he's not really into it. The construction is good; this is hard plastic and definitely not constructed for assisting teething, which is why I gave the low score for that. Usefulness in teething shouldn't even be considered in evaluation this toy. The 4 animals are cute, the sound is good. I was asked to rate its "teething" feature. This is not a teething toy at all. Everything is hard plastic. That said, its a great fun toy for the baby! He likes peakaboo for sure, although the only ones he can open are the middle two. The left one requires spinning the button. He does like the lightup heart. The animals are cute, and although the popup feature is a little sudden and jarring, it doesn't take much power to activate the buttons. This is a fun little toy for my 12 month old. I’ve seen similar toys at some of our friend’s place, so it’s not an original concept. This does not come with batteries, so you’ll need 2 AA batteries. There’s two sound settings and the high setting as not super loud like some of the other toys. The battery cover has a screw on it to prevent your little one from eating the battery. However the battery cover is much different shade color compared to the back of the toy. This is just being picky at this point. It’s a very basic you with a basic feel, so it won’t feel like some of the more premium toys out there. The quality matches the price, so you will get what you pay for. One confusing item on the box is that it say the recommended age is 12 months+, but the warning label states that it’s not for children under 3 yrs. ... show more

This would be 5 stars as it's pretty hard to mess up this type of toy but the spinning button only works 50% of the time. This is because you need to push down and spin it for the latching mechanism to trigger I think. Otherwise, this is one of my little one's favorite toys. She loves to dance to the music and sounds and is surprised by them popping up every time. The music isn't too loud or annoying so A+ for that! ... show more

I like this pop up toy for my 6 month old. I have to help him navigate some parts of this toy, but it’s definitely something that he can grow into. Just know that this does not come with batteries just like the listing says. Overall this pop-up toy is entertaining for my son and he enjoys it.
