I spent a little more money on these topiaries (previously ordered a slightly smaller and cheaper version from another vendor) - and these topiaries so far are wonderful! They are extremely dense, colorful, and sturdy. I ended up using the zip-ties (provided) to secure the 2 sections together, and used the (provided) hanging chain to secure them to a weight inside the planter so they won't blow away. Everything looks good and sturdy -- and hopefully they will last years. The only risk now will be UV fading in our intense summer sun -- we'll see how they do on that. The shipping box was in pretty bad shape, but the contents are sturdy and flexible so there was no damage -- the half-spheres popped right back in shape after removing from the box & securing together with the zip-ties. The media could not be loaded. For the price, these are great. I’ve read complaints of the smell, but honestly what do people expect? They are 100% plastic. They did have a smell upon arrival. I left them unassembled out of the box in my garage for a month as I didn’t need them right away and can’t smell anything now. They come in two halves you have to zip tie together. The zip ties are included. They are brought green. Dark green would have been better, but they did the job. Before I assembled them, I zip tied lights in them for a but of a sparkle for the holiday. Then I zip tied them together. That was easy. Just make sure to line them up carefully before beginning so you have perfect spheres when done. I snipped off the extra zip with ease. A few pieces of leaves fell off while I was handling them, but I didn’t see any obvious bald spots. I tossed those pieces into the pots to have if I need them in the future to fill in a spot. The color is good- variations of green. They are light weight. If you are putting them in a windy area I suggest you weight them down or secure them so they don’t blow away. Overall, I’m very satisfied with them. They met my needs and expectations. ... show more

Poor quality, falls apart as you are assembling it. Lights do not work on the remote. Was so very excited to put outside an display on front porch and the pieces are literal junk. Do not waste your money on this.

When it comes to plants and trees, I definitely do not have green thumb and everything that I plant dies. I water, fertilize, trim, talk and I even tried singing to them but to no avail. My wife says that I killed them because I have a terrible voice, and I place all of the plants into shock. Anyway, these Topiary Balls are the perfect solution look fabulous.
