My husband and I travel and a versatile backpack/carry on a crucial. Before heading to Europe last summer, I bought this item, particularly because of its size, and the airline restrictions. It was appealing that it could be used as a backpack or a briefcase. I was a bit skeptical that it would last, because of its reasonable price, but I felt it was not a major investment. It has been through months of travel; some of which was demanding on the backpack, yet it looks almost new. This bag is a workhorse -- great materials, construction, design, and, versatility. It cleans up nicely with just a wet rag. Every time I prepare for another adventure, I say (out loud) how much I like this! Great product!

I love the idea of this bag, large capacity, low weight, functional, no unnecessary bells and whistles, decently sturdy construction, all while fitting the personal item bag restrictions. Well, unfortunately that’s a tall order and this backpack doesn’t quite deliver. To get the max volume from the “personal item” size you have to make the bag very “cube-like.” The cube-like construction causes the bag to slide down your back and the shoulder straps are flimsy and impossible to adjust to keep the back in a comfortable position on your upper back. The result is the bag feels like it’s pulling back and falling off your shoulders. It’s not comfortable enough to justify using, despite the very attractive set of features it offers.
