I got this folding can because, well, I need a cane. No-one wants to need one or to admit it, but it’s nice to have a variety of canes available. In particular, sometimes you need a cane that stores compactly when not actively in use. The cane does collapse and fold up well. The shock-cord is strong and pulls the can segments tightly together so the cane is stable. The large flexible, rubber bottom felt unstable to me at first. But it looks like it flexes to keep the wide bottom in contact with the ground for a longer time. It is, however, a little heavy and adds to the overall weight of the cane. The handle is made of hard rubber but is contoured and has light texturing. It might still get uncomfortable if used too much. The flashlight in the handle – while novel – seems only partially thought out. Sure, you don’t have to hold a flashlight while using the cane at night, but it should aim down a little. Otherwise I have to lean the cane a lot to see ground in front of me. The cane does include a plastic ‘loop’ to hold the collapsed cane together, but there is no bag to further contain it. Lastly, I’m 5’10” and have to adjust the cane to the top-most hole. This means the cane is set to the SHORTEST height and it might not be comfortable to people who prefer a shorter cane. These are all fairly minor issues which when added all together could reduce the rating by one star. But at this price [$18.90 at the time of writing], I think the cane is still a 5-star item.

This is a review of Foldable Walking Cane with Built-in Light for Stability. Brand: WHAMZ33 This lightweight cane folds and unfolds easily, yet acts like a solid cane when you unfold it. It has an unusually wide tip that could offer more traction and thus more stability. I am still getting used to that tip — it is flexible. I’m not used to my cane bending at the tip. If I cannot get used to it, I can easily replace the tip with a normal one. This cane is adjustable, but you should note the range of heights possible with this cane. The listing indicates that this can can be used by people from 5' to 6'5" — that is a difference of 17 inches, but the cane only adjusts by about 4 inches! I am 5’5 and can only use the cane on its lowest setting. If I were shorter, the cane would be too tall to be comfortable for me. My partner, who is 5’9, can easily use this cane.
(Of course in an emergency for brief usage, the cane would be fine for most people.) The cane is a real bargain at the price when I ordered (about $10). Not only is the cane foldable, but the cane has a handy flashlight in the handle. The flashlight isn’t going to illuminate a dark night, but it could come in handy, for example, working a lock. I’ve had experiences on vacation when that opening an unfamiliar has been difficult in low light.
Overall, this is a bargain as long as the height works for you.

I've paid a LOT more for a much cheaper cane. I've had to purchase a few canes over the past year -- family members needing them, friends in an accident, and most recently, having back problems and needed a cane I could take with me when needed for help standing/getting up. This is a GREAT deal. Seriously -- check the prices of the other canes, and what this one has to offer. I should have purchased 10 of these! This cane is foldable, and can fit easily in a purse or behind your car seat. The handle is comfortable and gives you something to hold onto when you need the extra stability. The cane can be adjusted in height quite easily and still remains sturdy. There's a built-in LED light (batteries not included -- but still a hella deal!) and the cane base is flexible and gives extra grip/traction when walking. If you need a cane, you can't go wrong with this one.

This cane was perfect for my husband post-hip replacement surgery. It's easily adjustable for height. It also can collapse for easy transport and storage, although I don't expect we'll be needing that feature anytime soon. The top of the cane is quite comfortable; it almost has a gripper type feel to it. The very slight ridges help you hold onto the cane better. The light is perfect for nighttime and is quite bright. We are happy with this cane.

I often use a cane and always keep one in the car. I thought this might work well for that occasional use and would be compact, taking up not too much room. When I took it out of its box it was secured with a nice little bracket that keep it together when it was collapsed. The bracket went back on easily when I collapsed it back to 4 parts. The handle seems nice and I think would be comfortable. That is the end of what I liked about this cane. The page for the cane says it will work for anyone 5'1" to 6'5". Personally don't see that as working. The cane, at its shortest setting, would probably work for someone 5'7" or so. Any shorter than that and you will be trying to hold it way too high. The only adjustments take the cane higher. Add to this the wobbly feeling of the cane and I don't know that I would trust it. I have had other collapsible canes and they went together much more securely and were like a normal, solid tube cane.. The foot on it seems interesting but personally I would be concerned about walking on it because it is so wide. It might work for others, but I doubt it would work for me. I won't use this cane. I don't feel I can trust it and I can't even adjust it to work properly at an appropriate height. I don't think the workmanship is that great the wobbly shaft when extended. I just don't feel I could trust it to truly help me.,
