Buy 1 size up for sure. I am a 10.5 foot and returned them and got the 11. It's a must. The sole on these shoes are the main reason I bought them and for $50($49.99 amazon warehouse) that's the deal. The shoes are not comfortable at first and need to be broken in. The toe box is narrow and cramps your toes together, don't buy these if that is going to bug you. The front of your big toe will rub up against the toe box in an annoying way and may cause a rash BUT I have been wearing them a few days with a non rash sock and I am good to go. These shoes have amazing grip and that sole... that's the reason I bought them. I live in the mountains, don't own a car and hike and walk a lot everyday. These shoes I hope will last a long time. Love em. Only reason I didn't go 5 stars is that they don't come in wide sizes. I'm a bigger guy. 6'3" 290#. And these shoes are holding up very well. They have great tread/sole on them. I wear them all day, everyday walking one everything from concrete to a deer trail and I have no complaints. I will Def be getting another pair, only this time I'm gonna spend the extra cash and get the gortex. P.S. it's very hard to find wide size hiking shoes in general. It's not just thus shoe. Bought these because I needed a shoe that would be versatile for day hikes, going to the gym, wearing out at night, and walking 3 or 4 miles a day on average while abroad. So far, so good. Been looking for a comfortable shoe for working and these are perfect! I'm constantly walking on hard concrete/tile and these feel far better than anything i've worn before, not to mention they are a decently good looking casual shoe that can be styled well. Highly recommend for the price

So I have worn them for the 4th time for a period of over 4-8 hours at a time. 1st time I wore them it was for over 8hrs and my feet DID NOT HURT... even with planters fasciitis in both feet. Traction is never an issue on any type of surface so far. I wore them in Wisconsin snow for the first time and my feet were warm and dry after 8hrs in and out of the snow/slush. My husband loves these shoes and gets them in stores and online. It was my mistake to assume his size with this shoe(which happened to run too large by 1/2-3/4 a size). Great shoe, but order a half size down.
