  • Comfortable shoes and good quality
Size: 12 Color: Black/Black/Carbon
Quality of materials is good for today's standards. They fit good and the toe box needs some breaking before feeling comfortable. The rubber sole is also of good quality, sturdy and with a solid grip especially when hiking or walking in general. I like the waterproof technology even though I don't understand if it's the fabric or a special coating applied to it. The shoes are overall comfortable and at the moment do not need any inserts. Probably they will, the ones they come with are somewhat thin but that is still to be seen. I also wear them to work for long hours standing and walking as floor restaurant shift manager and have no complaints about. ... show more

  • Great hiking shoe
Size: 13 Color: Grey/Black/Mesa
Purchased for trip to BC, Canada. Put 51 miles on these shoes, including airports, urban walking, and mountain trails. Very comfortable, relatively light, good tread grip on mountain trails, and good stability. Update: Descended the BCMC trail in these shoes. A challenging trail with a 25% average gradient, loose rocks, tree roots for steps, and some man made wilderness steps. Shoes provided excellent stability and grip on treacherous terrain. ... show more

  • good for work
Size: 14 Color: Black/Black/Carbon
Good (not great) shoes for work. thought it was tight at first, but after a few weeks was satisfied with the fit. Soles are very good at work especially on hard floors all day. Would've been 5 stars if they fit like my other (different brand ) shoes of the same size

I use these for Disc Golf. I have used them several times now and they have kept my feet dry for the early morning damp dewy grass.

  • Tight Fit
Size: 11.5 Color: Black/Black/Carbon
After nearly a year now, they are still a bit tight, based on other commenters I went for the wide within my size and swapped out the insole for a better quality one. One one side; the shoe couldn't be better; great traction and their surprisingly good at keeping water out. On the other its oversized sole keeps everything tight in the toe box. This is one of the problems of buying shoes online instead of trying on a few different sizes in the store. If you have wider feet like me - beware. ... show more

  • Good rugged work/hiking sneaker, not as breathable as hoped
Size: 10.5 Color: Black/Black/Carbon
I bought 3 pairs of trail running/walking shoes to use as work shoes on my small urban farm. I prefer trail running sneakers for this type of work because they tend to be more breathable, lighter, and easier to slip on/off than work boots. I work 12-14 hrs a day, on my feet 90% of the time, so a light weight shoe is a huge benefit. I don’t use tractors or other motorized equipment on the farm so I’m not particularly worried about buying a shoe to protect my feet from serious injury, making heavy boots overkill most of the time. The 3 shoes I bought were these ASICS Frequent Trail Running shoes, Columbia Fairbanks Low Sneaker, and these Adidas Terrex Ax3. I bought all in size 10.5, which is my normal sneaker size, and I tend to wear size 10 in hiking/work boots. I’ve bought 2 types of Adidas Terrex sneakers in the past - the CC Voyager in size 10.5, which was my absolute favorite shoe (but the most minimal), and the Tracerocker Trail Running shoe, which fit tight in the toe box area to the point where I probably should have returned them to get a size 11. After a week of daily use on the farm, here is how these Ax3 trail running shoes compare to the above mentioned shoes. Much more rugged than the ASICS or Tracerockers, the least breathable compared to all the other shoes, good heavy duty tread, and the best cushioning between the heal and ankle. The toe box is almost too tight, but not nearly as much as the Tracerockers (but my toes really splay out so this might not be a concern for others). Also the poor breathability was kinda a bummer but it’s a bit of a trade off since these are the most “substantial” of all the shoes, making these a great choice for rugged trail hiking, or in my case, work on the farm. They don’t seem to have good arch support, but the sole is thick rubber, making them a good choice for when I’m doing construction and walking around nails/screws. Also there is extra protection around the outside footbed and a decent toecap - while not a composite or steel toe, this heavy rubber outer layer gives an extra bit of safety and I wouldn’t be too worried about dropping a moderately heavy object on my toes while wearing these shoes (think a log/concrete block/wooden post, etc). All in all I’m very happy with these shoes, I just need to swap them out for another pair half way through the day to let my feet breath a bit. ... show more
