    • Look Great But Have Issues...
I want to emphasize that we REALLY LIKE this product because the lights look great and appear solidly constructed. But we have a couple issues with them. We purchased 3 light strings (45 lights total, 15/string) and a pack of replacement bulbs in Nov, 2020. Several bulbs didn't work when we put the lights up. Those lights just needed to be screwed into the sockets more tightly. We use a Lutron WiFi phone/app-controlled lamp module to turn the lights on/off, dim them, and have them go on/off on a routine schedule. They do dim nicely; we keep them around 30% or so to provide a warm, gentle light throughout a somewhat large outdoor covered area. Problem: the lights do not all fully turn off when the Lutron lamp module is set to zero/off. Maybe 15% of them maintain a very low level glow when they are supposed to be completely off. Nothing short of pulling the plug out of the module turns them all completely off. I've tried multiple Lutron lamp modules and get the same result. Module issue? Bulb issue? Don't know. So might or might not be the LED bulbs. The lights come on every night for about 4+ hours (depending on sunset time). So over the past nearly 2 years, they have been on for close to 3,000 hours. Now, August 2022, not quite 2 years later, I just ordered 2 more packs of the replacement bulbs because over time, 25 of the 45 bulbs died. That's a 55% failure rate in less than 2 years, and these lights are under a covered outdoor area which keeps rain off of them. Granted the lights are inexpensive, but a 55% failure rate in under 2 years just seems high to me, isn't it? Maybe I would care a little less about this if replacing them didn't require a ladder. But, again, they look great! ... show more

Due to minimal lighting, from street lights, our street is pretty dark. Our daughter goes to college at night and we had concerns for her safety, especially after her car was stolen from in front of our home. We knew we needed something that would add enough light and still be aesthetically pleasing. These are perfect! I love the ease of set up, the brightness and that they aren’t cheap looking. Quick delivery. No issues with product at all. Cord feels sturdy. No loose bulbs like in other reviews. I bought the 96ft which is two 48ft strands and I linked them together without issue. Bulbs stay completely cool after hours of use despite the excellent brightness. Will buy again.

    • Two short, or one long?
I like these lights a lot. We've got them strung through our back yard. They look good, and are pretty durable, with no damage at all when category 2 Hurricane Zeta passed overhead. Dimming works well, though I did have to add a 100 watt incandescent to the end of the string to avoid flickering from excess power when dimmed too low. My one heads-up, though: These are heavy, to the point that where the two strands attach will get pulled apart if too far from where the nearest hook/hanger is. In my case, I was wanting to do a 25' across the yard, with the connection in the middle, and nothing to hang from to support the weight of the string. In the end, I had to reroute the ropes. So my advice is to map out your desired light path, and unless your center 48' point is by a support structure, you should get a single 96' string instead of this 2x48' pack. ... show more

    • Good lights but...
These lights were great, for a while. Now 8 of 48 no longer light up. The cords are heavy duty and the bulbs are plastic. They were very bright so we purchased a separate dimmer.

    • The Loop is a Plus
I really like the loop on top of each light fixture. I wanted to hang my lights in a straight line along my back fence without having to swag them along the fence to go with the contemporary linear look of the fence. Thus, I was able to fasten (screw) each light bulb directly to the fence and keep the cord taught and linear look. I guess if you had a different and distinct pattern you were after this method of being able to fasten the lights could be very beneficial because of the loop on the light. The parts I didn't like were the limit of purchasing 1 package (whether it being a 1 or 2 pack) with the pricing of the 2 pack being almost 250% of the price of the 1 pack. I needed 2 strands and I didn't want to play the game of ordering 1 strand one day and coming back and ordering a second strand the next day. Definitely price gouging. The other thing I didn't like is they provided no spare bulbs as to other manufacturers do. Also I don't know how weather proof these lights will be; but time will tell. I have installed other "weather proof" lights outdoors along the ocean and they only last 2-3 years. ... show more
