    • Honest truth from a new rider with first saddle

As a new rider with a new horse I liked that almost all the pieces are here as I learn everything. The plus is its very beautiful & the engraving is excellent. Now the part 2 as I've been riding. Seat if very thin & airy padding offering no advantage vs a normal saddle in fact worse. The billets are so thin strech & strech. I have to stop every ride & tighten @ least twice. The seat & saddle are very slippery I worry about a spooked horse. The breast collar is made for a draft! My horse is 15.2 and 1100 pounds & I have about 10 man fingers play all the way to top hole making it useless unless I hole punch it. I also bought the back cinch separate to complete the look but the billets don't fit into the leather slot below the buckle (it's half the size of the billet strap) just look @ the picture they offer to order it. It will get me out of the gate & now I know why I will buy something different next time & soon then dump this for $200. My recco is to pass on this ... show more
