  • This is an outstanding monitor and it works on Linux Ubuntu 20.04 perfectly
Style: Full HD IPS (1920 x 1080) Size: 23 in
I bought this for my wife's online tutoring and teaching. When it arrived I expected some issues as we use Ubuntu Linux 20.04 LTS and the description wasn't real clear about whether it worked on Linux of any kind. I plugged up the included HDMI cable and it fired right up with a beautiful screen, very rich colors and fine detail. I then plugged up the USB cable that allow the operation of the touch screen and it work with absolutely no driver install etc. BONUS, when you tap on a text field, the touch keyboard pops up on the screen as well. We have experienced ZERO interference with the touch features, the mouse, the usb keyboard or the Wacom stylus pen tablet, they all work together seamlessly. The stand is very sturdy and attractive. All in all a superb piece of equipment. ... show more

  • Excellent touchscreen with wide range of motion, eas of swipe and great sensitivity, Full HD ultra crisp movies and video games!
Style: Full HD IPS (1920 x 1080) Size: 23 in
Love this touchscreen! I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I use it with a Velocity Micro Vector Z25 tower with Windows 8.1 operating system (The Velocity Micro computer is awesome with no bloatware and ultra fast SSD). Navigating Windows 8 with this touchscreen is incredibly easy. The sensitivity seems perfect and I can easily swipe between screens. The High Speed USB ports on the side easily recognize iPods, phones, etc. for charging and syncing with iTunes. Watching movies and playing video games is ultra crisp with this monitor's high definition. I am in a fairly shaded area, but I have noticed when there is a lot of sun there is a lot of glare. The glare doesn't bother me much as I use a Plasma TV as well which also has glare so I'm used to it and adjust. I don't use the built-in monitor speaker so I can't comment on the sound. I bought a set of Cerwin Vega XD3 desktop speakers which have great sound and deep bass and are relatively cheap, which I also purchased through Amazon due to the great reviews. This next part is something the manufacturer does not include in the instructions but should: When I removed the monitor from the box the folding stand on the back is locked (or so it feels) tightly against the back of the monitor. I assume the company does this so it does not get damaged in shipping, but there are no instructions on how to pull the stand out. After searching for a release button or something to unlock the stand (which I couldn't find) I decided to pull on the stand with some force away from the back of the monitor. I thought I was going to break the stand off. I tried several times to pull the stand away from the back fearing I would break the stand off. But finally I felt I had no other option and with a lot of courage and force pulled the stand away from the back of the monitor. You hear a loud snap as the stand releases from it's locked position. It was extremely nerve-racking, but that is how you do it, brute force. Once free the monitor has a great range of motion from 30-80 degrees for ease of use with the touchscreen. It tilts easily with one hand at the top of the monitor in both directions and stays firmly in the position you set it. I love this monitor, 5 stars! ... show more

  • Great Production Tool!!!
Style: Full HD (1920 x 1080) Size: 27 in
Don't Sleep On This One...I'm blown away! I I bought this monitor with expectations of using the multi-touch capability to control my DAW software. I've only had this monitor a day, and I can already tell this a great addition to my sound production suite. Using this touchscreen in combination with the mouse (and sometimes keyboard) really has the potential of increasing workflow a great deal. I took the opportunity to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. This was to utilize the full multi-touch function in my Sonar Cakewalk DAW. This required Windows 8 or later. I've only had one issue so far with not being able enter anything in any of the fields via touchscreen or keyboard. I had no way to log back into the computer. The problem turn out to be a Creative audio interface with very old and quirky drivers. Once I unplugged that and restarted, everything was fine. Over all the touchscreen is very responsive for me. The brightness, colors, and clarity are on par for my needs. It has VESA mount capability, and the adjustable monitor stand is removable. It also contains a small cover to replace where arm was removed.. I found a small swivel type mount w/arm to mount to desk. It really gave me a few options for angling the monitor to my preference. The monitor is very lightweight and well made. The clear plastic bottom edge is very easy to remove. This worked out great for using as a control desk. The 3 usb out ports were really a plus!!! This allowed me to plug in a software dongle, and my keyboard/mouse wireless thingy. The size of the monitor makes adjusting most of knobs and sliders a dream. The 27" size gives me pretty good size buttons, dials and instrumentation at 1020x1080 res. Very easy to read from all angles. I've done a lot of research on this monitor and found most reviews favorable. (As a DAW control surface). For me this is much cheaper than buying a hardware controller and much more versatile. IMO. I haven't delved much into Adobe Photoshop or Premiere yet but it looks promising. Don't know if the colors are acceptable to photography professionals, but they're pretty acceptable to my taste. Cons..Monitor Adjustment Button Placement. The way I have the monitor mounted, I'm able to slide it in & out. When I do this I almost every time hit the power off switch or adjustment buttons. Very easy to accidentally touch stuff and drag something, or open an app, especially around the edge. (That isn't really a con, guess it just takes getting familiar with it .) ... show more
