Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The reviewers are extremely satisfied with their purchase of this gaming monitor. Users are thrilled with the G-Sync, 144Hz refresh rate, 1440p resolution, and IPS panel. There are also no reported dead pixels or backlight bleed, which provides a great gaming experience. Though its price may seem high, the monitor's exceptional performance justifies the cost.

Pros

  • 🎮 G-Sync feature to eliminate screen tearing
  • 💻 144Hz refresh rate for smooth gameplay
  • 🖥 1440p resolution for crisp graphics
  • 👓 IPS panel for better color reproduction
  • 👍 No dead pixels or backlight bleed

Cons

  • 👆 Fingerprints and smudges don't just wipe away easily from the matte finish screen
  • 🔢 On-Screen Display (OSD) menu controls are not intuitively easy to use
  • 💸 Price may be a concern for some

Should I Buy It?

Yes. Considering the incredible performance such as G-Sync, 1440p, IPS, and 144hz refresh rate as well as the lack of any noticeable flaws such as dead pixels or backlight bleed, this monitor is a superb buy, especially if you're a serious gamer. The minor annoyances of the matte finish prone to smudges and less intuitive OSD controls are significantly overshadowed by the monitor's advantages. The price might seem high, but for a dedicated gamer, it's a reasonable investment.

  • Fantastic 32” 4k and hdmi 2.1 monitor screen
Style: UHD, G-sync comp Size: 31.5-inch
Monitor is a large 32” 4k resolution screen, up to 144htz refresh rate, with 2x hdmi 2.1 ports and a dvi 1.4 port, a good usb-c port, and several usb A ports. I primarily use this for multitasking for work at home but since I have a new PlayStation 5, I needed something to really show off the 4k resolution capabilities of that system so I chose this monitor over the limited few others of 32” size available. This Acer Predator uses the same screen from what I’m told as the cheaper Gigabyte M32U but has more bells and whistles. The only reason I bring this up here in my review is due to there being a lack of reviews for this Acer Predator and the other monitor I mention here has had numerous positive reviews and resides in top 10 lists for its size and abilities, and it uses the exact same screen as this Acer Predator. I also chose this monitor over the Gigabyte M32U because the M32U was not in stock when I was purchasing and this Acer Predator is of a higher quality build to me, it just looks nicer as well. Paying the extra amount was a necessity for work as I needed something very quickly and just didn’t have the option to wait as well. Most other 4k 32” size screens haven’t been rated well and I prefer a flat panel screen which this is for viewing at long times when I extend my laptop monitor to multitask for work. It has plenty of ports to choose from, built in speakers that work well for what I need, eye care low blue light options, 3 different types of target crosshairs for gaming, and even a neat ambient lighting strip on the back you can change the colors of to your liking. All in all, this is a very nice monitor and since it appears to be newly released, does not have a lot of feedback yet. For me, it is perfect. Acer is a good company for monitors, this one is part of their predator gaming line up and looks like it is of high end quality. Was a great purchase for me to look at all day for both work and play. ... show more

  • Value for money
Style: UHD Size: 28-inch
This monitor is so good and it fits perfect with my setup. I have it hooked to my ps5 and it runs so good. There some games on the ps5 that allows 4k 120hz and the video output does that. Colors pop out alot very accurate too. HDR mode gets the monitor really bright and for the size being 28in your getting value for your money. ... show more

  • Great product but....
Style: WQHD 360Hz Size: 27-inch
My box came with a smashed hole to the box. I put faith in the packaging but ended up now having to warranty and get it fixed since its outside returning. Two small vertical lines that respond to certain colors make it only noticeable when using at certain times. BUT, it has been a great monitor to use! Maybe 360HZ is over kill but I feel like i can see the quality difference from a cheap 240HZ. Plus this is a 12 bit HDR monitor. It really has an amazing deep red color with the esports setting is on. I did not rate it the highest rating because ACER made the monitor unavailable to use DSR to get to use 4k resolution. But, that might be because it is a DP 1.4 monitor, I am not sure... The HDR backlight bleed is a little there with the mouse on a black screen as shown in the reviews, nothing too crazy to complain about. The Bezel floats around the outside screen edge. That is something new for me to see. I do not like that because of dust build up. I see pretty good latency and response time for ULMB2. It's an all around nice monitor Edit: Currently having driver issues locking me at 360HZ and unable to add custom resolutions. ... show more

  • Support Is Virtually Non-Existent
Style: UHD Size: 28-inch
The product itself is fairly good, if you get one that's in working order. The display is incredibly bright and has amazing picture quality. The panel has problems though, in that it seems prone to dead pixels, and I happened to fall into this case. The first thing that came to mind was the "predator premium service." It's useless. It goes to the same call center as everything else, which is based in India. The dialect is incredibly thick, and there's a clear language barrier. The CSR's also have zero knowledge of the product. They couldn't grasp the concept of a dead pixel or defective display. It was as if they needed to check one of two boxes, either completely busted and non-functioning or in working order. I was also informed that the policy is to not exchange or repair a panel if the dead pixel count is n<5, where n is the total number of pixels affected. After a heated exchange, they decided they would be open to repairing it but not issuing a refund. Here's where this proved to be the most unique tech-based experience I've had so far: the person asked me how many pixels were working in the display. When I said I didn't know, they asked if I could count and tell them, before we could move to resolving the issue. I stated it would be well into the millions. I'm assuming this was just to be able to state that the issue was "minor" on their end; it was baffling. Thankfully, Amazon took care of everything after reaching out. I explained the situation and within 20-30 minutes, I had a refund pending, as well as an option of immediate credit to purchase a replacement. They sent the return label, and I had the product sent for return within the hour. I've had some pretty bad experiences with CS before, but Acer has overwhelmingly topped everything else. If you're okay with gambling on the panel integrity, as well as having virtually no support line, this could be a good option. For everyone else, I'd point towards the Samsung Odyssey G70A, which is what I purchased with the refund. ... show more
