A portable second monitor for my laptop is invaluable. I keep it in portrait mode next to my Acer Swift 5 15.6 inch laptop and it works perfectly. It is slightly larger than the laptop, as thick and almost as heavy. It is not designed to be used in portrait mode, so I have rigged a solution that works at home but may be difficult to replicate when I go back to work. Coders are going to love these, Acer, please design these for portrait mode, 13.3 and 14 inch screens. I will upgrade fairly soon if you make a thinner, lighter, portable monitor with smaller bezels, designed for portrait mode. A 4:3 aspect ratio would be nice, too. Put the USB port on the right, long side, please, to connect to my Acer laptop. I don't know how technically feasible it would be to have a touchscreen, but that would be nice I love the neoprene sleeve, it fits my laptop perfectly, I've been unable to find a sleeve for my Acer Swift 5. It's thin. Stores easy in neoprene slip cover that has a Velcro closure. My laptop only has two Thunderbolt (USB-C) ports. So I had to get a "docking station" type dongle that has a power pass through. The one I got is capable of handling 100w. My XPS-13 demands 65w to 85w to charge. You have to leave your laptop plugged in if you're using it to extend your laptop display like I do. If you are using it for a desktop application, this won't be a problem. It looks great. 1080p display. It's allowing me to participate in Zoom lectures for school, while I fill in lecture notes on Power Point at the same time. Saving me reams of paper. And saves me from having to buy a box of paper at Costco every 6 months. That's at least $60 saved on paper a year. Also saves me from buying printer cartridges costing $120 a year. So the minor cost of this will be offset. ... show more

This monitor was purchased to serve as a third monitor and ride along on my sit to stand desk riser. From that perspective, it works great. Sharp picture, good viewing angle range and steady picture. However, the information implied that it was a USB-C input, but didn't provide that it would only work in a Thudberbolt port. I have a newer laptop with a Thunderbolt port dock and the monitor plugged right in and worked. However, the cord wasnt long enough to work with the desk riser and I bought a high end USB 3 to USB-C cable and it didnt work. Apparently, this monitor will ONLY work with a laptop or dock that has a Thunderbolt port. The rub is that finding a suitable cable of length is difficult. It's my bad for not researching it enough, but the implied compatibility led me to spend a lot of extra cash. For the record, I tried the USB-C cable in conjunction with the supplied power supply and micro USB cable and that did t work either. Very narrow band of components. ... show more

My work Dell only has one usb c port, but I have a bunch of regular Dell power adapters, so I used that to run the laptop freeing up the usb c port. It works well with it and takes up a lot less table space. I had a 1366x768 usb display that I never considered using. This is bigger, better angle, higher resolution and a much better display overall. I tried it on my Acer chrome books and it didn't detect the display when I first got it and it, but it does now. I am echoing the reviews complaining about lack of usability. This device works with my macbook pro. however i did not buy it for that. I bought for android tablet usage, and it is not plug and play for that device. The instructions give no guidance. I will keep trying to find how to enable that usage, but as of my first night, nothing but disappointment. UPDATE: since my initial review, I was able to get the monitor to work with my Huawei Mate 10 Pro phone. It does NOT work with my Asus Zenpad nor Chuwi Hi9Pro. Even now, it is unclear why. I am not sure what I could have done to make myself more knowledgable before purchasing. It could be a difference in USB 3.0 or 3.1 specifications. Perhaps there is a clear answer but the seller needs to do a lot more to educate people. The product itself is good when it does work. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be much a purchaser could do to understand if this product would work with their device. The most consistent usability seems to be with MacBook Pro, and it works fine with that for me, but again that isn't the device I bought it for. ... show more

The screen is very lightweight and fairly large. This portable screen is larger than my original laptop screen. I have had NO problems with the monitor working. Other who have had trouble did not appear to have the correct port on their computers. **Please note this portable screen requires a USB-C thunderbolt port - this is NOT THE SAME as a regular USB-C port. It must have the lightning bolt next to the port to be considered a thunderbolt port.** Here’s some info from the web on the differences: Two protocols, one port USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 both utilize the same reversible port, which can lead to a lot of the confusion surrounding the two protocols. While a USB-C port and Thunderbolt 3 port look the same, Thunderbolt 3 has some extra hardware compared to the more widely-adopted USB-C. It's important to know, too, that your USB-C accessories and cables will work with a Thunderbolt 3 port. All Thunderbolt 3 ports are also USB-C ports. However, the same cannot be said for the other way around; not all USB-C ports are also Thunderbolt 3 ports. Hope this helps. ... show more

Adds some much needed real-estate when I'm forced to work on the road. Just barely fits in my laptop bag but makes for a very nice compact workstation setup. The screens viewing angles aren't the best but I wasn't expecting perfection and think this monitor is adequate for the price. It would be nice to have an HDMI so I could use my PD charger with my USB-C multi port dongle....I now have to carry along the standard charger but that is a small gripe. ... show more
