Description

In competitive gaming, every frame matters. Introducing Acer's XV272U gaming monitor - the WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution monitor that can keep up with your game play. Through AMD Radeon technology, the game’s frame rate is determined by your graphics card, not the fixed refresh rate of the monitor, giving you a serious competitive edge. Plus, users can enjoy comfortable viewing experience while gaming via flicker-less, low dimming and ComfyView display. The design saves space on your desk and lets you place multiple monitors side by side to build a seamless big-screen display. (UM.HX2AA.V02).

  • Good Monitor
Size: 27-inch Pattern: Monitor
Coming from 1080p, this is my 1st 1440p monitor that I wanted for upcoming PC games. Works well. Tested, no dead pixels or color problems. Stand is sturdy but may wobble on a cheap desk, but no more than most other monitors. Tip: Is this your first 1440p monitor? Change the refresh rate to match the monitor in windows (I set mine to 144Hz). Turning on “Refresh Rate Num” in the monitor control panel will show the monitor refresh rate on screen. This is great so you can adjust certain games so that the refresh rate won’t change after exiting the game (EXAMPLE: Playing a certain game changed the refresh rate to 60Hz. Exiting the game, the Hz stayed that way and caused mouse lag and other issues in another game. This was fixed by changing the graphics setting in the 60Hz game to full screen instead of windowless border). The only downsides are acceptable: it does have a slight backlight bleed in the bottom right corner, but it is barely noticeable unless you are in a dark room and looking for it on a black screen, and no more than most other IPS panel monitors. Also, as mentioned in another review, was that the monitor came shipped with the panel pulled apart (shown in image). I snapped it back in place and the monitor is working. QC at Acer needs to do a better job and add 2 more seconds to close the panel. Lost a star on that one. Conclusion: I am happy with the monitor and will recommend it for $300 or less. ... show more

  • Right Size Screen for 2K Resolution (1440p)
Size: 27-inch Pattern: Monitor
Very pleased with this monitor - it has more settings than I know what to do with, but I am running at 144Hz on an nVidia 3060 12GB graphics card with video editing software (PowerDirector 365) with no issues. I think the combination of 27 inch screen size and 1440p resolution is a "sweet spot" since 4K monitors just put a lot of load on your graphics card for little added benefit. But, if you go larger than 27 inch, maybe you would want 4K. I'm personally very happy with this 27inch at 2K and no issues with nVidia working with FreeSync in the monitor. Very satisfied with my purchase and it did come with the Display Port cable and I did use it to ensure no issues with FreeSync and nVidia. ... show more

  • Perfection at it's price.
Size: 27-inch Pattern: Monitor
Great resolution, an ideal refresh rate, and perfect colors. I'm glad I chose this as my first upgrade from 1080p. I'm also really glad that this looks practically the same as the ACER SB220Q (75HZ 1080P). I have a triple monitor setup with this as my main and two SB220Qs to the side for multitasking. They fit in together and the color quality, after some software matching, has made the ideal setup. ... show more

  • Incredible value
Size: 27-inch Pattern: Monitor
At this price point you're getting an incredible value. It's a large monitor with great color contrast and picture quality. At least for someone not super particular about screens, I can't imagine why someone would pay 2x/3x for one of the Dell Ultrasharp or one of the other popular options that start at $500 or more, when I don't think I can tell the difference between the two. It's also a massive step up from a budget monitor - the resolution is obviously higher, it's larger, and is versatile for gaming or work. ... show more

  • So Far So Good!
Size: 27-inch Pattern: Monitor
Starting out, I was a little suspicious of this monitor given the complaints about QC. I'm happy to say after a cross-country delivery this monitor has no dead pixels, nor flickering or ghost lines. After a brief (and rather nightmarish) experience with a VA panel I can't stress enough the amount of benefits an IPS panel offers. My only complaint is the stand is super wobbly. Even typing this now the monitor shakes like a slab of jello. I'm sure you'll get a different experience depending on what sort of desk you use, as well as from a monitor arm or wall mount. Although it's not such a big issue when gaming. ... show more

  • QC problems
Size: 27-inch Pattern: Monitor
Product arrived in a undamaged box. But after opening I noticed the framing on the bottom of the screen was not completely clipped together. No other problems or issues. No dead pixels. Screen looks amazing actually. There is something definitely going on at Acer and their quality Control. Just be warned before purchasing this Gaming Monitor. The bezel may not be completely intact. No picture because I fixed the problem myself before this review. ... show more

  • Definitely worth it
Size: 27-inch Pattern: Monitor
I don’t write reviews but I just got this monitor setup and it looks amazing. The colors are super good and accurate didn’t need to change the settings also very fast response time which you would expect from a 170hz. Ive seen reviews saying the brightness is too bright but it’s perfect for me all and all it’s definitely worth the money while it’s on sale the only reason I gave 4 instead 5 stars was because mounting the monitor was kind of a hassle with no real explanation in the guide that came with it but a simple YouTube search fixed that. ... show more
