  • Best mini LED for the price
As of this review, there isn't a lot of information or reviews for the mini led variant. I took my chances, and man did it pay off. This monitor blows the others at the price range out of the water. I tried the AOC 3xmn and I was not happy with the flickering, viewing angles, and dimming zones. Some background, I did own an Asus OLED prior to this but struggled with eye strain. I can confidently say that this monitor has no flickering, great viewing angles (albeit not perfect), and super great contrast for being an IPS. The response time is fast, I don't notice black smearing or scan lines. Competitive games feel snappy and smooth. The contrast is great, with some tinkering to gamma levels and local dimming, you can get near OLED blacks and vibrant colors. Colors are vibrant and punchy, the factory calibration looks good out of the box. The on screen display is really easy to use, so much better than AOC's. It has joystick that makes it easy to navigate. There is a small RGB feature on the back, but it's so dim that it might as well not exist. The stand is great, has a wide range of motion. The base is an alloy and the arm is plastic/alloy. Feels very study, no wobbling or vibration when moving or hitting desk. Best part is that the base is small, so you don't have giant arms that take up tons of space. Lots of complaints that 320hz isn't possible, it is but you need to purchase a display port cable that supports 4k at 240hz. If you're looking for a killer monitor at a relatively low price, this is it! ... show more

  • Amazing deal on exceptional panel
For me, this is the ideal monitor. (Amazing price as well!) I switched to 3 of these from a 34inch OLED 165Hz curved display. I really enjoyed it, until it came to reading text, using it for work (you are recommended to do a pixel reset every 4 hours on my model), and seeing games with really dark scenes. These monitors have very good blacks, ridiculous refresh up to 320hz, and have a nice matte finish to them, which I prefer over glossy. The HDR looks pretty good as well! They are about 12 pounds and they feel pretty cheap, but I don’t think this is actually a bad thing, they just seem to maximize the features and the housing is no thrills, which is nice, everything is too gamer branded these days, just give me good features I can afford. Nvidia surround with these is AMAZING. 7680 x 1440p @ 240Hz. Important notes: - the VESA mounting was not fun, it didn’t seem to have deep enough holes. Do some research into getting standoff mounting kits. - you need high bandwidth display port cables to get high refresh. If your computer isn’t showing the resolution and refresh rate combo you anticipated, you need new cables. Your graphics card may also play a factor. I think most people would probably like OLED better, but for me this is the setup I’ve always wanted. ... show more

  • The distracting offaxis fading across the screen literally gives me a dizzy feeling!
I ordered the Acer Nitro `XV275U F3` as an upgrade from an older ASUS `VE278`. The resolution, colour range, and sharpness are impressive when I look directly at a particular area of the screen. Unfortunately, normal desktop viewing has been very disorienting. From about two feet away, the center looks sharp and stable, but areas toward the edges seem faded, hazy, or slightly ghosted. It resembles viewing that portion of the monitor from the side. If I move my head and look straight at the affected area, the effect disappears, but then it becomes visible elsewhere. This happens with stationary content, so it is not ordinary motion ghosting. Disabling HDR and Adaptive Dimming helped somewhat, particularly with halos and uneven brightness, but the angle-dependent fading remains. I also tried lowering the brightness. That reduces the effect, but I have to dim the monitor enough that the colour and overall image are no longer appealing. Changing picture modes and disabling image-processing options did not resolve it. The Mini LED backlight and `320 Hz` refresh rate are attractive specifications, and the image can look excellent when viewed directly head-on. However, I find the center-to-edge visual shift distracting during ordinary use at a normal desk distance. This could be related to the IPS panel, polarizer, aggressive anti-glare coating, or my particular unit, but settings have not corrected it. Buyers who are sensitive to viewing-angle shifts or edge haze may wish to test this monitor carefully during the return period. ... show more

  • An almost perfect monitor for the price, held back by firmware
This monitor, especially in its $300 sales, is amazing with great brightness, an amazing local dimming algorithm, very high refresh rate and great colors. The reason it doesn't have five stars is that it has the potential to do some things right but is held back by firmware. It has the ability to display 1000 nits, but its HDR firmware implementation has clearly wrong colors in both SDR and HDR in some popular games like RDR2, and it sometimes doesnt even provide higher brightness due to its color confusion, the implementation is worse than on some monitors I've seen like the M27T6S from KTC. Also, its VRR implementation locks you out of editing overdrive settings, and it seems to get very strong overdrive whenever you enable VRR, stronger than its base "extreme" overdrive setting, causing clear green halos on many objects in motion. If it got a firmware fix for its HDR implementation and the ability to edit overdrive or add dynamic overdrive, it would be the perfect monitor in the miniled 1440p category for an amazing price, but it isn't there yet.. However, for my purposes, it is still the best for the price. ... show more

  • Not for me, but not a bad choice
I've had this monitor for around a month and I'm going to return it. The two main complaints I have are it has very visible halos when anything white contrasts with a dark background and that it has been very annoying to switch inputs. Those two things are ultimately deal breakers, but I do think for someone who mostly uses one device and doesn't mind the haloing this is a good choice. I should also note, I exchanged this for an OLED panel ~$150 more expensive. So for value, if $350 is your budget then I don't think you're going here. The blacks are very black and the screen does look great in HDR. ... show more

  • Good stuff from Acer
This is a great mini LED monitor! It has good built-in controls, features, responsiveness, and brightness levels. My only minor pet peeve is that the build feels too tough as in that it is more difficult to plug in cables and adjust the monitor height than usual in my opinion.

  • Great monitor at an affordable price!
Awesome mini-LED monitor at an affordable price! Color looks great with no backlight bleed! It’s definitely not as good as an OLED monitor, but it’s a great compromise between IPS and OLED monitors!
