  • Really good monitor, but..
Size: 31.5-inch
The only issue I have with this monitor is the lack of adjustability. You can't adjust the height at all which makes getting a comfortable viewing angle kinda difficult. But once you get past that, the monitor is excellent.

  • Bright and amazing when you play with the settings
Size: 31.5-inch
Seems to be great so far. I had to play with the settings a bit to get the quality picture I wanted but that's to be expected. I only wish it was Gsync compatible.

  • Great value with some minor compromises
Size: 27-inch
First of all, let's talk about the elephant on the room: HDR. If it's not full array dimming, HDR is "kinda crap". So go on an pay 5 times more for a true HDR monitor. But having some HDR certification means your monitor will have more brightness and color space that others without it and this is what we got here. Great colors. Great black and contrast levels and a really good SVA panel. For the value, the picture quality is great. If you are a contrast fanboy like me, VA is the way to go. It took some calibration but you'll get there. Extreme overdrive like in any other monitor generates overshot, so stick with normal and some minor ghosting. And if you want to look how extreme overshot looks like, go with Extreme Overdrive + HDR and put some FPS Game. What the hell were they thinking? It shouldnt even been an option. For gaming, standar settings with normal overdrive looks good. HDR is a nice feature for bumping up the colors in some HDR games. Really makes your corneas ask for mercy, this puppy is as bright as the summer sun in the caribean. The Good: 1500R is great for gaming, but it could take you a while to get used to it (I came from a 4000R). 144Hz+8-bit lloks and feels cool in competitive games, if you dont push the HDR and overdrive. 1440p really improves productivity and even more with picture in picture if you use multiple inputs (needs the Acer software installed). Power led is well hidden and non invasive. THe stand has very good build quality, all metalic and the clip in the monitor is also full metal with finishing details and covers in plastic that continues the rest of the monitor design. Outstanding viewing angles. The bad: It could have a little more finish details. It's great build quality, but it feels just to cheap in the fine details. Speakers? A "feature" that doenst supposed to be there. The buttons are really hard to push. Memory preset works kinda weird. The two preset configurable buttons are nice to have but more options to set in them would've been great. The ugly: Kinda obvious, the lack of ergonomics. I recommend a VESA stand with more flexibility (speacilly for height adjustment). Also, the bezels are a bit in the 2010's side. Cable managment is non-existant but at least is has an input cover so the wall behind it doens't feel too bad. The great: 1440p+120Hz+10-bit color depth well calibrated has little to none overshot with some minor ghosting and makes this monitor great for gaming and multimedia (the color depth and grading is really amazing). Install the driver from Acer and unlock more features. Download the desktop app to squezze all this baby has to offer. The monitor has the ability (if the drivers are installed) to extrapolate 4k and with amazing detail even in the fine text but at 60Hz. With DSR You can even go as far as 4kx2k for a wooping 4320p. G-Sync compatible via DP. If you notice some flickering I was able to solve it by deactivating my second screen (4k HDR LG TV al 120Hz 1080p via HDMI 1.4). ... show more

  • Good Monitor for price
Size: 27-inch
I previously bought the Acer ED273UR monitor that was also curved with 1440p resolution and 144hz.(different monitor than this one) However I needed more specs like the ones this monitor came with and I saw this going for $270 so I pulled the trigger and got this monitor. The specs that caught my eye were 3 HDMI ports and most importantly having one of the 3 being a HDMI 2.0 port, which can display 2k at 144hz easy. Also I liked that it came with built in speakers (my other monitor had no speakers so no volume), also HDR which makes the colors and monitor stand out way more, and AMD Freesync 2 which is more updated and makes the monitor run super smooth. For all those specs with a curved display and being 1440p with 144hz and only 4ms response time this is everything you need in a gaming monitor. So far the monitor is perfect, I have no complaints and I love the way it looks when i'm playing my Playstation. However.... the only issues I have is that the volume for the monitor is not so good like its real low and sounds cheap but most monitors don't come with built in speakers so it is still a plus that it even has them. Just buy some desktop speakers and you can solve that problem. Next is the buttons feel cheap and it is not very easy to navigate through the monitors menu. ( my other Acer monitor was way smother) A BIG issue I have is that the monitor is built cheaply compared to my other Acer monitor I mentioned previously. This monitor is made of CHEAP plastic all around and the stand is a cheap metal.(you can only tilt) My other Acer monitor was built way nicer and with better material so it made it feel valuable. However it gets the job done and will be sitting on a desk so it doesn't matter much. I am still deciding between my 2 Acer monitors, But I feel like I will stick with this model simply due to the extra specs this monitor comes with that my other monitor doesn't, and the price point I got this for($270) which was only $70 more than I paid for my other Acer monitor. For the price I paid and all the specs it comes with, I am more than pleased with this monitor and can't complain. This is perfect if you want a high tech monitor without breaking the bank. ... show more

  • Built in speakers are garbage
Size: 31.5-inch
Used to replace old monitor, I tried HDR and the colors seemed washed out. Brightness had to be turned down due to hurting my eyes. The built-in speakers are very quiet with no bass and not loud enough to be heard with a fan in the room. The stand is very sturdy but somewhat cumbersome to put together. There was no remote and the monitor automatically switches to any other imput that is sending a signal if the computer goes to sleep. ... show more
