I had to restart after setup before l could get the camera to work. The quality of the images is clean. When l saw myself on Zoom l was pleasantly surprised! There is a kind of surround sound effect when playing music sometimes. The sound volume though is low. Maybe it needs some drivers activated first. I just use a speaker, but it doesn't want to accept just any Bluetooth speaker. The touchscreen is fine. Nice computer for light use. I've been using older Chromebooks for anything done over the internet because my older Windows 10 laptops were just too slow when booting up. I love Acer laptops, my first which I bought in 2013 is still working and has the best resolution, which I used mostly to watch my Korean dramas. The only problem with my old one is that the hinges are broken and won't close properly anymore. I only need an extra laptop to use personally to serve at my church community. Its weight and screen size is more than good enough for my needs. Screen and camera resolutions is not as good as my first one though, but that one was more expensive than this one when I bought it more than 10 yrs ago. The Acer Aspire 3 Touchscreen 15.5 does not have touchscreen capability. I checked with the manufacturer. It's not that there's some way to turn on the touchscreen capability. It just doesn't have it. It should not be advertised that way on Amazon. Now I have to go through the entire return-wait for a refund process. I guess I'm going to Best Buy so I can actually touch the touchscreen next time before I buy something different. ... show more

I was a little surprised how slow it was running until I checked the updates. Once I updated the computer everything worked wonderful! I truly love this computer it's very quick and has a lot of storage space.

I really like that this laptop comes with all kinds of ports: ethernet, 3 USB A 3.0's, HDMI port and a USB C. It is now a lot less common to find a laptop with all these different types of ports. With this laptop I do not need to carry around several different types of adapters like I do with another laptop. After unscrewing the bottom of the laptop it is apparent that CPU fan, wifi card, CMOS and main battery, RAM and M.2 hard drive would be easy to replace if they needed replacing and not soldered down. ... show more

This is great. It worked right out of the box. It of course suggests plugging it in during set up. Someone mentioned it doesn't come charged up. I haven't experienced any brand new computer arriving fully charged. It did come in that S mode everyone was talking about in the reviews. I had no problem disabling it. It said I couldn't download a program because it was in the S mode and asked if I wanted to disable it. I clicked yes and it walked me through disabling it. After that I was able to download everything I needed. I do know computers on a higher level than most but I think it was super simple to set up. Many, many years ago I use to dread getting new computers because of all the work it took to set them up. I would say it took me maybe 20m-30m to tops. We are professional photographers but don't want to put the extra money into the high end computers. This is perfect! After downloading my photoshop program (easy to install by the way) I was editing photos faster than on my old laptop. The view of the photos are amazing. I did a lot of research before deciding on this one. I am so happy I did. I think I read a review where they said the screen wasn't clear but I don't get that. It is crystal clear. The colors are great. If you want an affordable one this is the best I've owned so far. I wouldn't pay attention to the negative reviews... I haven't had any negative experiences yet. ... show more

Don't know yet if Linux may be installed via network but USB boot cannot be enabled in UEFI BIOS and there's no legacy option. I will return this item soon if no workaround is found.
