I used this rod 1 time about 2 weeks ago. I inspected it upon delivery and it seemed fine. Got it all set up to go and it sat for like a month in my garage before I could take it out. First time out I took maybe ten casts and the tip literally fell off while I was reeling in. The line hadn't wrapped it and as far as I know nothing ever happened to it that would cause such a failure. Very nice reel and rod combo. Was a little disappointed with the first one because it came snapped in half but the second one was fine. Overall a very good price of equipment other than one thing. The Eyelit where you put a lure when storing the rod is a little finicky and bigger hooks have a tougher time getting out. ... show more
