I bought this more for my hair than my beard ...which is short ...but apparently too short for this brush to be effective. Which is fine. Because I bought it primarily to tame my awkward stage hair as I grow it out. This is a quality product, fit and finish are nice and the brush has a solid feel to it. The handle is rubberized and provides a comfortable grip. When you plug the brush in the temperature window shows "OFF". Push the power button for a long second until you see the default temperature (360deg) in the window. Push the button to cycle through the temperature settings. Once set, the brush heats fairly quickly. I can't comment on how it works on beards because you need at least a good inch to two inches of growth for it to work; I'm a little shy on that. For my hair, which is about 4-5 inches long, the brush works great at smoothing and taking out some excess curl and wave. As in for beards, you use the brush on dry hair. Before using it on your hair rub in a light dose of argan oil or heat protectant. The brush is just the right size making it easy to hold and maneuver and it's a good travel size as well; it comes with a storage/travel bag. The only glitch I've found is when I grab the handle it is easy to push the temperature button and raise the setting. My beard is 2.5 to 3 inches long. This gets my wavy and unruly facial hairs straight. A longer beard might require one of their larger offerings.

I bought this product because of the 5 heat settings. Have used 2 times from time of receipt of Aberlite Pocket. I particularly like using this heated comb to get my beard to lay flat. Once I am finished using the heated Aberlite Pocket Beard Straightener, I then apply beard wax as a final touch to hold my beard in place for the day. Works well. Brush worked good on my beard for 6 months. Then two of the plastic coating tips on the heated bristles came off from normal use and now the brush burns me everytime i use it.

Works well and aesthetically pleasing. Coated bristles protect from burning. 360 degrees within a few minutes. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it doesn’t work any better than a brush and hair dryer. If it lasts I will purchase again a couple years down the road
