This dress definitely served it’s purpose. I did order a size up just in case, and boy was I glad! It would’ve been a snug 16 (my usual size,) the 18 was perfect and didn’t need altered. Fabric was comfortable and not to stiff or heavy, had really pretty details throughout, didn’t wear any shaping underwear. We planned an outdoor wedding in august 2021, a year late due to Covid, and I just needed something simple to go along with our “lace and burlap” wedding in the woods. Threw an “Amazon” wedding in just two months, 70 people, bbq pulled pork and some great sides. Bare minimum decorations/dinnerware from Amazon under a big tent. Everything turned out amazing on a super budget and no one would’ve guess I got this dress from Amazon! I wore clear/silver jelly shoes. Glad I chose this route, the other similar dresses I had looked at in bridal stores were at least $500.00, I would’ve been bummed to spend that, let alone grands, on a dress worn for 2 hours. I love the feel of the dress, but unfortunately this dress is not true to size I'm size 8 I weigh 145 lbsim dd's nither 8 or a 10 fit. I was very disappointed, since I do not think as myself as fat.

The lace at the top is white but the dress itself is cream. It did not look great. We sewed a cream top underneath the white lace and that fixed the odd coloring. So the lace on the neck is normally see through, but we added fabric underneath it. The shape of the dress is really beautiful. I loved the length of it. I did also add the belt you see me wearing. It normally comes with a cream belt which is nice, but I wanted a little more flare. I am 135lbs, 5’4, 36B, and very skinny in the waste but big on the bottom. I ordered a 6 and the top was tight for me but still wearable. The back is a zipper which is hidden by buttons. It’s great because you don’t have to use any of the buttons because of the zipper but get the elegance of them. I was so nervous about being a dress off of Amazon but just couldn’t bring myself to spend the thousands of dollars dresses normally cost. For the price, this is amazing! The quality of the fabric is really nice. Plan on doing some alterations but you have to do that with any wedding dress anyway. I loved my dress! ... show more

This was a perfect dress to elope in! Fit well and looked great. The price made it ideal to wear just once. Lots of compliments! Love the 1950’s styling and I added a crinoline for poof.

Quality: The quality is very good. It looks pretty much like the photo. The fabric is good quality and definitely doesn't look or feel cheap. I ordered the Ivory and the solid fabric underneath the lace looks way closer to beige than Ivory, so just keep that in mind. The zipper isn't flimsy and you can certainly get away with going braless and not having to worry about any "unexpected appearances" no matter the temperature. Fit: This is the only reason I took off one star. While it says 'true to size' and go off the sizing chart, I still ordered up one size because I have broad shoulders. I'm an 'Inverted Triangle' body shape. So my measurements said 12 and I ordered a 14. The arm holes are tight, but not uncomfortably so. I couldn't get the dress to zip past my bra line and when pulling the two sides together, there's still a gap of about 2-3". I'm returning the dress and going to go for the 16 to see if it'll fit better. All in all, I'm happy with the product, sad that I'm built like a Triangle over an hourglass, but I'll definitely buy from the seller again keeping my sizing issues in mind. ... show more
